I’ve received some lovely messages over the last couple of weeks with various seasonal and end of year well wishes. I just wanted to say a general thank you for the very kind words about my photography and several asks for if I’ve got any new photos to post.

Truth is I haven’t picked the camera up since the last shoot in 2019 and I haven’t been approached by anyone asking for photos. So... no nothing new. I may have a trek through pics that got blocked in the great purge but would be acceptable now to see if anything would be worth resurrecting.

Thanks again for the messages and to you all I hope 2025 is a fruitful and enjoyable year.

Since I had my blog returned to me several long time followers have asked if I have anything new to share. To be honest, no. I haven’t picked the camera up in 4 years. Plus I just grew tired of my work constantly being stolen and posted by bloggers who don’t care about the hours of work behind shooting each photo.

What I do have though, is this. From a shoot done during the pandemic over Zoom, where the model lives about 5 time zones away and me in England. Some others from that shoot are below, but this one has never been shared before. Happy for this to be reblogged but please only on tumblr and no copies thanks (Nov 2 ‘23)

So what did I do while I was away… well… achieved a long held ambition to exhibit my work! This was at the Erotic Art Exhibition at the Southbank in London in April 2022. 4 canvases on display for 3 days. Met some great people who were visiting the exhibition and had a chance to talk to them about what I do and the images themselves. Didn’t sell anything but might do it again in 2024. Brilliant exhibition - would highly recommend going. This years took place last month so it might be a September thing in future.

Well well well. 3 years after deactivating me they responded to my email and decided that yes I can be reactivated as my images no longer violates Tumblr’s restrictions. Not sure what to do now I’m back! Is everyone ok? Sorry if you messaged me it did allow messages to be sent to me (I know - I tried it from the other account I set up after this was deactivated) but it wasn’t possible to log in and at no point did it ever add “deactivated” to my account.

They gave me no warning in 2020 it was just switched off. I have some catching up to do…! Feel free to message if you’re still following and wondering where I’d gone or not replied!

Image quality is an issue but, I still like this

Yep definition is compromised by virtue of us shooting over a videocall rather than having my 24 megapixel Nikon in my hand - and by being thousands of miles apart - so focus was trial and error but there’s a softness to some of the shots we got as a result that’s unusual for me but I think it works well.

Shooting 2300 miles apart has its challenges.The original plan for this long distance shoot was to web call through my real camera but, that didn’t work so, one of the main issues we struggled with was image quality.

A few short weeks ago I met a photographer away I wanted to work with and today, we made that work. The fruits of our very first web shoot with @thekeytoroom237

Proof positive of what can happen when attribution is kept strong within the tumblr community. Creative people can find each other and despite there being over 3000 miles between us it shows it’s possible for anyone - anyone - to create erotica instead of stealing content.
