Our heart's were lifted the moment we heard the flowing sound of water. Every step was a burden and we just really couldn't deny the excitement to reach the river. We were dehydrated and exhausted upon reaching the summit and the fact that we need to go down was even more draining. Layon Bilog river was our motivation to keep going. Such a reward after a long, tiring hike at Mt. Talamitam. (at Layong Bato (Layong Bilog), Mt Talamitam - Nasugbu Batangas)

Best way to hike is with friends. We're almost halfway through the summit. Some of us are already exhausted because of the heat, but despite the dehydrating sun, we help and look at each other's back. Talamitam is a very easy, perfect chill out climb, but you need to stock up with sunblock and keep yourself hydrated all the time. (at Mt. Talamitam, Nasugbu, Batangas)

Going down from Mt. Maculot from the other trail and traversing your way down can be difficult, but the view is much better on this point. It also leads to the grotto where you can see Batangas on your way down. (at Mt. Maculot, Cuenca, Batangas)

Hiking with my youngest brother. He's very annoying, but I never thought all of us siblings would be close as we get older, but at least all of us share the same interest; being kind to animals, love for food, game addicts, being sporty and outdoorsy and my brothers as music lovers. So many stories to be told about Mt. Maculot. Our guide, Kuya Jose, also warned us not to go further without him and not to lose sight of each other. With his guidance, we took the other way around and traverse the difficult trail. He told us, not many are willing to go down this trail since it a bit difficult and creepy. We also heard some stories about ghosts and death accidents.. The path on the traverse side is dark and mossy forest, with slopes and slides wherein on one point, we needed to rapel going down. Most of us ended with butas na shorts and pulikat 😑 #mtmaculot #mtmaculotrockies (at Mt. Maculot, Cuenca, Batangas)

This is by far, one of the most memorable adventure/trip for me.. I was on my way to recovery when I tried hiking again. It was only 6 months after surgery.. I really had a hard time going up but that didn't stop me from going, instead I pushed my self and tried even harder. Ladies, don't let fear or pain stop you. Keep on going! You are stronger than what you think 💪 (at Mt. Maculot, Cuenca, Batangas)
