albert, can we sit down for a little while? you don't like listening to me, i know, but i have to say a few things, and it'd be nice if i could think you heard them. again, i'm eternally sorry for how emma and i acted as children. we both know much better now, and i've been trying... well, the best anyone can, really. and i know you had your feelings for ida (who wouldn't, haha, but i digress). i can marry her, but i can't control her. all as much as her decision as it was mine, and well, if you loved her like i do, you'd let her make that decision. it's hard to live around all this, it must have been, and i know saying sorry doesn't help much, but... what other option do i have? i can't change the past. and maybe ida's putting something in my head, that i can't change the future, but i can try. i'm trying, albert. i really am.
