This letter is sent to you to inform you of a meeting that has been set up in the request of your husband in the result of the previous events. This meeting will let the both of you show your side, and then make the guiding lines for your divorce agreement. The meeting will be held at the former house of you and your husband, at the nearest Thursday 12:00. Please send a reply or phone our firm to approve your arrival. You are entitled of brining an attorney.

Rory was shocked as always by Amy's response to his accusation. He did not expect Amy to agree with him. Even though he said that himself, he did not want to be separated from her, especially not in that way. He loved her since he could remember himself, and breaking up was never something he thought will be possible. And the thought of how easily Amy could think of that as an option just made him even more mad than before.

"Well, then I want a lawyer", he turned and walked away from here.

“Do I have to remind you /who/ left?” Rory was suddenly angry. He knew Amy had every right to be mad at him, but knowing why he did it, he couldn’t stay peaceful. “I still have no idea how you worked things out. You never said anything or left a note, you just disappeared. I admit I may have been a little drunk, and maybe I didn’t fully control what I was doing”, Rory lied. He knew exactly what he was doing. But Amy cannot know that.

“You see? You’re throwing your guilt on me ounce again”, she said, and hated herself in every word that came out of her mouth. “You can’t just tell me what exactly happened? You slept with her? How many times? How long have you been cheating on me? And you thought I’d never find out? What does she have that I don’t?” 

She couldn’t continue any more. She saw his face and wanted to embrace him to her heart, but she had to keep her distance. As long has he was still fighting for her, she had to hurt him more. He must leave her.

Tears came out of her eyes, but she kept her mad face. She frowned at him and waited for an answer.

Rory was shocked. He did not expect Amy to accuse him of such a terrible thing like having an affair. Did she know? Didn’t she know she was the only girl he ever noticed? Didn’t she know how much he loved her? Apparently not, if she ever thought he was capable of cheating on her without having a good reason for it. And even then, he still wasn’t able to do it properly. Maybe she didn’t understand because she didn’t feel the same way about him. Rory knew Amy loved him, but he always was the one making the sacrifices. Always the one who was waiting. Two thousands years of waiting. And he was happy to make them, because of how much he loved her. And he didn’t believe she loved him as much.

“I can’t believe you would say something like that?!” Rory shouted at her. “I met her ounce for a drink and we barely kissed. Nothing more than friendly.”

Amy never saw him that mad before. He always was so… quiet. His face was getting read, and she could see his veins on his neck. Actually, it was rather atractive, to see Rory like that, fighting for himself. He was so powerful, so beautiful. She pulled herself together, telling herself ‘This is what I have to protect’.

“Just a kiss?” she pretended to not-believe him. “Yeah right, veeerry friendly. Though I do Irene Adler would do that, but you? The person who would do that is not the person I thought I was marrying.”

Her heart was trying to jump out of her chest. She fought to say another word. But she couldn’t see him any more. Her eyes were filled with tears. But the show must go on.

Rory was so mad, he didn't even notice the tears that were streaming down Amy's cheeks. He just saw the cold accusing face she made, and couldn't even bare explaining.

"Well, if you can't trust what  I'm telling you, than maybe you were right when you left", he said sharply. "Maybe I'm not the person you should live with for the rest of your life."

The lights went out. Everyone clapped loudly, so loud she could barely hear herself think. Without even waiting a second, she pushed her way through the crowd, aiming for the front door, fighting the tears. She could barely breathe through the lump in her throat. She stormed out to the street,…

The show was great.  After the band played the last song, after the lights went out and they left the stage, the crowd was still screaming with excitement. It meant a lot for a first gig. And it was almost enough to make Rory happy. Only it wasn’t. There was someone missing. The only person that ever made him truly happy. And he will never see her again. Rory couldn’t celebrate with that thought in his head.

After changing into cleaner shirts, the band members went to greet their new fans. Rory said hi to all his friends and thanked them, but he wasn’t able to stay for longer than that. He sneaked out of the back door. The night’s air was freezing cold, and Rory shivered in his light shirt. Suddenly he was aware that he wasn’t alone. A figure stood in the rear side of the alley, hitting the breaks of the wall. He was going to ignore the person and leave them to their misery, but something stopped him. Even in the darkness of the night, the red hair glowed like fire. Rory knew it wasn’t anyone else. He saw that hair so many times, touched it, smelt it. He knew it wasn’t anyone else but…

“Amy?”

Amy stood still. She couldn’t make herself move. Even through her yells, she recognized that voice. How couldn’t she see that happen? It was so predictable, that she will see him in HIS show. After a few seconds of shock, she gathered herself, took a deep breath, wiped her tears, smiled the best smile she could produce at the moment, turned around and said:

 ”Hi”.

Amy is here. She is here, back in Leadworth, back in front of him. Rory thought he’d never see her again, at least not for a while. But a month didn’t pass, and here she is, back. He wanted to jump, hug her and beg her to stay, but he didn’t know she would react. He got closer to her and with a wondering expression on his face, he said: “You’re here”.

“Of course I am! stupid face.”  She even surprised herself.

She couldn’t stop herself, and hugged him. She missed that shape of shoulders under her arms, feeling his pulse so close to her, his shocked breath on her neck. And then she knew. She was never really mad at him. She lied to herself more than she lied to him. It was just too painful to think about giving up such a perfectly good relationship. And she knew, she isn’t angry with him right now, but she can’t show him that. But now she has no choice but giving it all up. She doesn’t want to take his dream away.

She pushed him gently, and punched him in the shoulder as she always does.

“How could you do that to me?  Betrayed me like that with that rich…fancy… pretty face, Irene Alder?!”

Rory missed the hugs, being close to her, more than anything.  Even though he didn't except her to do anything close to that, he had no reason to complain. Not until she pushed away and yelled at him. It was so typical, that at least he didn't have to worry about aliens kidnapping and replacing her.  Something that was very likely to happen, since it did. Several times. But, again, you can always blame Scotland for her behavior.

But then she asked about Irene. He hoped he wouldn't have to explain until they were all safe, until she was safe. But again, nothing goes as planned. He thought Moriarty would get him sooner, but he hasn't heard from him yet. Maybe he didn't care about Irene Adler as much as Rory heard; maybe he didn't cared to revenge the Doctor as much as he thought. Maybe. But maybe wasn't enough to keep Amy safe. And that wasn't enough for Rory. She must leave to a better place until it's all sort out.

But he didn't want her to go. Not when she finally returned to him. Not when he can still feel the warmth of her skin on his frozen chest. Not now, when she is back, ready to give him another chance. But what could he say to her? How could he explain? He could he make her stay?

The day started as usual. Rory started his shift at 8 am, and started treating the patients. After what seemed as ages filled with different sorts of patients with different sorts of panics, the time of noon was upon him, And that meant a beak, at last! He didn't really have a long break, so he used the time to chew is home made sandwich and have a stroll around the hospital. He was just walking across the waiting area, when something caught his eye and made him turn around. The sight of a young woman, healthy looking, with a bag at her feet, made him curious. He walked back the steps he made and asked in a casual tone: "Can I help you somehow?"

I don't think I'll have a chance to do this later. So I'll just do it now. I'm going to leave for school in 8 hours and will be back only 8 days from now. I wanted to say I'll miss you all loads and I hope I won't miss anything important. See you soon, right?

Rory jumped from the sofa on which he was sitting on earlier. The sight of light made him feel a bit more confident. The confidence Rory needed to refuse to any help. And if Martin won’t listen to him, he’ll do anything that he could to get away from him. Without saying a word, under the excitement of the light, Rory walked toward the door as fast as he could.

“Where are you going?” Martin called after him. “Was it something I said?”

Rory stopped at the door, and took a long breath before opening it an answering. "I shouldn't stay, Martin. It'll only put you in risk." He started walking down the stairs.

The show was about to begin. Rory had no time to greet anyone before it, he would have to say hello at the party that followed the show. He and the band was getting ready. He took his guitar and stood at the side of the stage. All the guys were nervous, more than he was, and chatted with each other. Rory just smiled politely. He wanted to get it started already. After about ten minutes later than what they stated, the owner of the pub stood on the stage and yelled into the microphone: “Show your love for ‘Mr. Pond and the quackers’!”

They climbed onto the stage in a run and Rory stood in the middle. “Hello everyone, and thank you all for coming tonight for our first ever show as a band! Special thanks for the pub owner, Charlie Beckman, who let us have the show in his pub. Cheers, Charlie! The first song is a song I’ve written for a special person, that I hope will hear it oneday.”

As Rory sung the song Martin knew exactly who the song was aimed at. He felt sad. After all that had happened he really wished that the person who it was aimed at could hear it. He shook his head and smiled. He was just happy to be able to support his friend.

Douglas glanced at Martin, who had not replied in the slightest. He sighed softly, and stepped back. “I should go…” he said softly. “It was foolish of me to come.”

Arthur had never been to a concert of any kind before. Mum always said he would get himself into trouble. Or lost. Or both. He bounced excitedly as Rory and his band came onto the stage.

He watched the exchange between Martin and Douglas. Or rather he watched Douglas exchange something to Martin and a frown crossed his features. Was Douglas leaving? He subtly (or what Arthur thought of as being subtle) made his way closer to the pair. All the while still doing some kind of odd sort of bobbing dance along to the music. It really was brilliant music, he thought.

After a lot of asking and begging from Arthur, Carolyn agreed to take him to his friend’s concert. She knew it wasn’t a good time to say no, after all the drama That seemed to be in the background of their life, mostly from the side of their pilots. A little bit of fun couldn’t harm anyone. When the show started, Carolyn was watching the dancing Arthur from a safe distance from the bar, sipping a drink. She noticed that he stopped watching the band and started looking at the two pilots who were standing in the middle of the room, having what seemed like an argue. Should she go there as well?

'I should not be here', Amy thought to herself, staring at the pub's door. 'I am not going to enter. I am NOT going to enter', she said quietly, but then she heard his voice. Her husband's voice. She couldn't resist anymore. She covered her head with a hood and entered. The familiar room was full of happy strangers and on the stage stood the only person who could make her heart skip a beat or two. She settled in the darkest corner of the room.

"Nobody can see me", Amy said to herself. "I'm invisible"

From that moment on, she couldn't take her eyes off Rory.
