I know it’s super out there but I have a theory that part of Uncle Iroh’s spirit was reincarnated into Jinora, hence her being the only child with brown eyes and who is heavily connected to the spirit world. We don’t have a date on when Iroh passed, and assuming he lived longer than Sozin or Azulon, he would be past a hundred when he passed-around the time of Jinora’s birth. Though we see that his spirit stayed in the spirit world, if he had in anyway reincarnated into Jinora, with part of him staying in the spirit world, it would explain both her brown eyes and her super strong spiritual connection without going through an spiritual awakening through the original benders such as Iroh with the dragons. I’ve seen also a theory that the brown eyes may just be part of each grandchild of Aangs representing a nation, but this theory is just for fun!
