Why So Many Church Shootings?

I know you can see that there is a rise in church attacks and mass shootings across the world and here in the United States. Many families are torn apart and loved ones are taken from them way to soon. Our hearts are filled with grief as we watch sobbing mothers and fathers, crying police chiefs and the news displaying all these events on repeat. We are certainly living in the “Last Days”. (2 Timothy 3:1)
The Bible is clear on these tragic events, and it warns us of tough times giving us insight as to what to expect in these last days, “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.” (2 Timothy 3:1) These are the “birth pains” of something vastly more powerful than ourselves, the Return of Christ.
The Bible declares, "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.“ (Matthew 24:7-8) Does any of this remind of something? Sure it does, these are the events that surround us today? aren’t they (rhetorical question)
My intention on writing this exposition is not to scare you, (full disclosure) maybe just a little, because I want you saved. What I’m really trying to do is prepare you, inform you, and indeed warn you. There are countless people, who do not know Jesus Christ and are without His love the Bible declares "And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12)
Not to worry these evil doers will ultimately get what they deserve, "But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)
There is hope for you but only in Jesus Christ, and if you are still breathing then there is still time to take action and be saved,“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”. (Romans 10:9) For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
We are truly in a war with the evil one (Satan) and indeed just like in any war there will be casualties. However if you are in Christ Jesus then you have already won because He has already won. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.“ (Romans 6:23)
"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
