Spanish moss? Not moss at all, but a tillandsia. In the same family as pineapples. Wild.

Potatoes originated in the Andes mountains where Peru is now. They’re modified stems that store starches. Completely unrelated to sweet potatoes, which are roots. You can tell because potato eyes are buds, just like a stem has, and sweet potatoes have root hairs.

People wouldn’t eat tomatoes for a long time cause they’re in the same family as night shade. Which will kill you.

Palm trees are not trees. They do not have cambium (bark). They just have highly lignified stems that allow them to grow so large.
