‘ they will ONLY tell you stories where girls are sweet and kind and reject all sin. i guess to them it’s a   t e r r i  f y i n g   thought,  a      girl    who knew EXACTLY what she was doing when she invited in the wild. ’ the tale goes as follow: one fateful night in the midst of winter, peter pan broke through looking for his shadow not knowing it was tucked neatly away. all his ruckus had awoken the eldest child, a young girl, who slept with her brothers in the nursery. from that point, he had taken them to a wonderful land where all their happy dreams would come true. THE STORY IS ONLY HALF-RIGHT. that night, it wasn’t peter, but his shadow that visited week after week before hand– luring her into the island with whispers of sweet words. and wendy did go to neverland, but not with her brothers– her parents be damned at her disappearance. she hasn’t gone to become a mother to a band of killer boys, she went to explore and play along side them. she’s got a selfish, nasty little heart under her ribs and a taste of curiosity for what lurks in the dark.

A long minute was taken on considering the perspective presented. A life lived away from the atrocious behavior of those who lived with her. A life of magic and freedom. A giggled escaped her lips — it did sound like a dream. But then again, she had a promise to keep —  cherish her family’s memories and the place where they’ve been happy the most.

Gaze lifts again, attention caught by the figure that moves through branches, a cascade of leaves falling around Ella. Words lingered at the tip of her tongue, dying before they could escape her as she watched the boy throwing himself into the open air. She feels her heart skipping a beat as hands muffle a gasp of horror, eyes closing for fraction of time, fearing the worse.

She silently counts the seconds and as no other sound echoes in the air, blue irises peek ahead of her, the sound of sneezing hitting her ears as lips part in great astonishment. There is no doubt left in her eyes, no hesitation as to the share of truth in Peter’s narratives. She’s half shocked, staring at boy’s feet hovering just above the ground.

❝It’s true then!❞ - she attempts to shake surprise away, failing miserably as she takes an measured step forward. ❝How can it be?❞ - she speaks more to herself, kneeling on the ground, finger reach hesitantly  to the space between Pete’s feet and the grass. ❝It’s wonderful!❞ - eyes search for his, lips curled into a large smile. ❝Can you teach me?❞ - she pleads brushing off the debris of earth from her apron as she stands on her feet again.

“Well, it’s simple. All I do is think of a happy thought,which is very hard to do while bedridden, and off I go!” He declared, smiling brightly to her before trying to get off the ground again, managing a few seconds once more. This was going to take along time. 

“I’ll have to teach you if you come with me! All you need to fly is a little faith, trust, and... Oh, what’s that last thing? Pixie dust! Pixie dust! Tink isn’t here!” That caused an immediate landing from the boy as he remembered his friend was still in Neverland. “She must be so worried about me! I have to get back tonight, but I’ll bring her back to you. I can and will make it back tonight!”

I’ll be back tomorrow! Sorry! Life got hectic when I came home and then work and dsifjosdjd. I’m stressed and overwhelmed is all I’ll say. I’ve also been having some mental health problems ever since I came home so like it’s been a yikes that never ends.

I keep disappearing and I’m so, so sorry. I promise I’m not just sitting around doing nothing. I didn’t realize when I got home work would come running in and scoop me up and then I’ve been applying for a second job as well.

I think I only owe one reply so I’ll hop to that now but yeah!
