ooooh thanks!
1. Redemption - Frank Turner. Probably my all time favourite song.
2. Joni Was Right - Marit Larsen. I win a lot of arguments this way.
3. Love Like This - Ben Rector. Our first dance song 🥹
4. You You You - Maisie Peters. Not my favourite of hers but the one currently in my head, which feels fair.
5. If This Is It - Newton Faulkner. I return to this song every time something ends.
'Cause if your heart is set on something that it's not supposed to be
If your eyes are looking for something, you're not supposed to see
I'd rather turn around, turn you down, no matter how much I'd hate to leave
So whatever you do, please don't fall for me

Marit Larsen Under the Surface September 11, 2006 Alternative Pop/Rock
Formerly of well-regarded Norwegian teen pop duo M2M, Larsen’s debut was a pleasant surprise not only for fans of that group, but of inventive, inviting tunes that draw equally from folk, pop, and country. Recorded when she was 22, it offers both a sprightly playfulness and a self-consciously mature anxiety, as reflected in her penchant for outsized melodic choruses and more tentative, delicate verses.

To An End - Marit Larsen
When I looked it up on YouTube, the first video that came up had just a still photo of her on it and then I went to listen to it and I was like “that is not what I thought she was going to sound like.” Her voice is a lot sweeter than I thought it would be.
I like the lyrics a lot, and the guitar is kind of sorrowful and speaks even louder than the words do. To me, anyway.
Really neat!
Thank you for the rec!
