Going through my dark and brooding era. Is pleinair painting cooler if you make it spooky? I hope the answer is yes. Here are 10 of my 15 nocturne paintings I showed at SITTING OUTSIDE 2, a pleinair painting show in Los Angeles that I curated. I did all nocturnes for the show this year. Hoping to keep that going.
When did you get your first tattoo?
It’s been a while, but I wanna say in ‘88. My mother had passed away right before I met Layne, and she’d left me a little bit of money to live on. I had a little spending cash left over so Layne and I were talking about getting the brother tattoos. We went down to this place on Pike Street in Seattle, and I got this screaming skull-type thing on my right shoulder, and he got a skull with an Elvis hairdo and some sunglasses on his left shoulder. They were both wall tattoos, but the cool thing about doing it was doing it with Layne; he had one on one shoulder and I had one on the other. They were kind of connected and obviously we were too.

I haven’t let myself change, but the way people see you changes, and that’s not in my hands, that’s not in my control. And maybe what is in my control is not doing interviews, or not being on the TV, and not anything to kind of glorify your face or position. Eddie Vedder | Pearl Jam: Twenty

My pretty blue-eyed babies!
Some of Jerry Cantrell’s old G&L Rampage guitars Picture 1-4: The first guitar Jerry bought. The G&L Rampage known as the “Blue Dress”
Picture 5: The G&L Rampage known as the “No War” guitar. Jerry bought this around the same time as the “Blue Dress” guitar. From a music store in Dallas, he worked in the warehouse there.
Picture 6: Another G&L Rampage “Dirt”. I haven’t seen this before.
Picture 7-8: Yet another G&L Rampage. This looks like the same guitar, he just added the nude woman sticker later on. The woman is not in picture 7 which is taken from an older magazine then the one in picture 8.
I got to see the original Blue Dress at MoPop when I visited Seattle last year. 🥰
