He gave a small laugh, and looked a little confused. "What do you mean I can't wear my warm jacket outside? It is freezing out there." he said.

He smiled “That’s sounds good actually,” he said as he walked towards his horse I will need to round up these cattle to take them back to the corral. There is too many damn wolves to let them out all night,” he said putting on his cowboy hat. “Did you bring a horse with you or will ya need to use one of my horses? I have plenty of horses” he said grabbing the flask with whiskey. he drank and offered it to his new worker.
He put his hat back on and rubbed the back of his neck. "Sadly I haven't had a horse in years. I would greatly appreciate borrowing one of yours." He softly shook his head rejecting the drink. He knew how he got when he drank, and it wasn't something he wanted his new boss to see. His fiancée said that he was the lover drunk. That he loved anyone regardless of their gender. She had made him promise not to drink while he was away. "I promised my gal I wouldn't drink.

He rubbed his stubble “Well, I could use another pair of hands at the farm,” he said “but it will be a lot of work. from early morning til sun set is when you will have to be working, pal. Does that sound good to you?” he said moving from his sitting position to standing. “Since I want you to give your girl the best wedding she will ever see. I’m willing to let you work here to make that happen but do you think you have what it takes, Pal” he said smirking as took his hand out for an agreement handshake.
He gave a smile and took the hand giving it a light squeeze as he shook it. "Thank you sir! I promise that I will do my best. Anything you need you just have to let me know. "What time should I come in?" He asked. He gave a closed smile. Midnight rarely smiled a wide toothy smile due to him not liking how his teeth happened to look. "I could start right now if you'd like." His eagerness was apparent. It was his way of trying to ignore the feeling he got as their hands touched.

Jeremy moved the hat from his face and the sun blinded him for a second until he could make out the face of the man standing in front of him. “Well, Hello Reed. You startled me for a second, but I can see you want a job. Well, I let me see,” he said scratching his head “Well, as far as I can remember I run the farm most of time with little help as far as I remember.” He sat up “What are you good with?” he said squinting as he looked up at the man.
"I'm good with anything you need me to be with, Sir." He said. His voice dropped in volume, and he almost seemed to be mumbling. "I worked on my family's farm until we lost it. After that I took whatever work I could find. I've done just about everything you can do on a farm, Sir." He continued. He bit the inside of his lip, and gave a small nod.
"See, I gotta a gal back home, and we are tryin' to save up for a weddin'. She's back in Oklahoma. I would appreciate any work you can spare." he said.

Jeremy was lying on the hill as his cattle grazed down in plains. His saddled horse grazed a couple of feet from him and his dog laid next to him. He put his hat over face and arms behind his head, relaxing from the hard work he was doing since the early morning. He had been taking care of his farm ever since his father got too ill to do any work at all. He manages to bring home money from the farm and cattle he sells. He has been too busy to ever find a companion, a person he can love and care about. His family and his farm is the only people and things he cares for and it has been like that for a long time.
Midnight trudged up the hill to find the owner of the farm. Midnight had been trying to find work to send home to his fiancée. He knew he his place, and never questioned it. Little did he know that everything would change once he laid his eyes on Jeremy. "Howdy, are ya the owner of the farm? My name is Midnight Reed, folks just call me Reed. I'm looking for work. I'll take anything ya got." He said. His pitch black hair was messy from the wind.
