Satoru's feelings of dread were confirmed when Yaga stopped him in the halls shortly after he and Suguru's last conversation. Blood had trickled freely from where his nails and the pin from Suguru's uniform had dug into his palms. They were used to coming in at odd hours, late into the night, and going days without seeing one another. Satoru wanted to think nothing of it, part of him did, dismissing it as part of their normalcy as he watched Nanami train in the yard alone among his other daily tasks. Each day it seemed like the number of students at the school grew fewer and fewer, something he'd failed to notice before, but now was far too aware of.
