Another little rant about Barney and Robin’s relationship!!!

These two moments, I really love this because these moments show just how much Barney & Robin love each other but most importantly accept each other for who they are.

“If I ask you to change too much about yourself you’re not going to be the man I fell in love with.”

“You wanted to be in Canada this weekend so I brought Canada to you.”

Barney and Robin, these are the moments that really showed them accepting each other are important to their relationship because it shows that they both accept each other  for who they are. Robin, after wanting him to sell his bachelor pad comes to the conclusion that she loves and accepts him for who he is, the crazy but surprisingly smart ideas he comes up with, which means that she accepts and loves the creepiest, most psychopathic parts of who he is and I mean she’s been around him for years now and is engaged to him she should know, accepts, love and admire the things Barney has done since knowing him and this shows that Robin is OKAY with Barney’s past lifestyle and actually likes his Fortress. And, for Barney after teasing Robin about her home country and always making fun of it, Barney shows that he accepts the part of her he once said was the only thing that he didn’t like about her which tbh is kinda silly to not like a country to the point of making fun of it and making fun of Robin’s home country. But,I love that after knowing each other for so long they realize that the other one is more important than their silly hangups on their lives. It’s interesting because Robin has always loved and admired Barney for the things he has done, albeit it’s a little crazy but she always went along with the things he did and said and even had fun being kind of on his team, because they are teammates, partners in life and love to have fun with each other that’s what makes them so compatible for each other, they have so many things in common that aren’t boring and they love to hang out with each other and have fun.

It’s great to have a relationship like theirs because when it comes down to it Barney & Robin have the most real relationship with each other. I love that they challenge each other and just naturally know when to have fun and when things are more serious because they understand each other like nobody else ever has. It’s one of the many things I adore and love about this couple that I love(d) to watch play out on screen. Yes, they have amazing chemistry but they love and accept each other for who they are and I love that the parts of each other that they might not have liked in the past, are the things they accept and love when they’re engaged.

I also want to point out the The Robin and the Canadian themed Rehearsal Dinner are the things that Robin has always loved and she accepts the things, the loving/true things Barney has done for her which along with the proposal and the rehearsal dinner he also helped her gets a job to stay in the country, he was there for her when she needed a shoulder to cry on when Simon dumped her again, he helped her become a Duel citizen of the United States, he gave her advice to go on a job interview she was afraid to go on because she was doubting that she wouldn’t be taken seriously and anytime she was feeling down, bad about herself or sad Barney was there to cheer her up with a joke or the amazing speech when she asks him if he ever felt needed when they were dating. Barney has always been there for her and I hate when people disregard the amount of great things Barney has done and said in order to cheer Robin up and make her feel better about the person she is.

This means that Barney admires and loves the person she is which includes the Canadian part of her. And, Robin has already by this point in the show (season 8-9) has come to accept and love the guy who Barney has always been since she met him. They fell in love the these (persons) they naturally are and this is why they belonged together/to each other and are the great loves of each other’s lives.
