Lophophora graft is taking off.

Some trichocereus hybrids and Lophophoras. The fat stumps are trichocereus pachanoi cv. Tomahawk from tricholand, I relaly recomend you to buy som cuts. Really neat cacti, looks to have some bridgesii traits but clearly Pachanoi-dominant. In the background are some trichocereus scopulicola FR991, an ecuadorian phenotype Pachanoi and one of my absolute favourite Oz-hybrid: SS02XJuuls giant. They are a bit scarred as they are a kind of gift from a friend who had a real problem with thrips or something like that. I Bathed all the cuttings for 20 minutes in strong nicotine-water and discarded everything that had been in contact with the cuttings before taking them in to my collection. Please god hope none of the bastards survived or Im gonna have real problems.

Well the warm summer weather, more frequent watering and a couple of hours of direct sunlight in the morning is good for the growth of the cacti. The Trichocereus Peruvianus MT05 cutting in the middle has gotten a bit etiolated but it should get fatter once firmly rotted. A fast grower from Peru collected at Chavin de Huantar by Spanish grower Aplantis. The cite of collection is worth reading about. Here is a picture of the motherplant at Chavin de Huantar:

This clone has been sold and marketed as various species, if the collector says Peruvianus, to me it looks like a peruvianus so I label it Peruvianus.

A closer look at the peyote. I grafted one on a T. Terscheckii 10 days ago, today i gave it small glass of water. The larger ones on their own roots are about 5-6 cm. They also got their first watering today after repoting. Think they look like lophophora williamsii v. Texensis.

My "bookshelf greenhouse" from the front and the back. The sides and back are covered by white cardoboard and on the front of the shelf I've put up a white fabric spunn on a roll that sits on a small shelf. So I can roll up the fabric to hang out with the cacti and water them. The LEDs took a long time to get right but now they grow fat and steady under 75 watt on an area smaller then 1 square meter :)

Fast growing T. Pachanoi and T. Terscheckii from Aplantis (Slightly etiolated but raerranged the lightning recently). Lophophora Williamsii "Huizache". And monstrose and normal growth of. T. Bridgesii. I suspect the monstrosa to be the original "Clone B".

3 cm of growth in 6 weeks. Newly rooted Trichocereus Pachanoi bought from Italy via ebay.

Trichocereus plants bought from aplantis. T. Werdermannianus, T. Pachanoi cv. Juuls' Giant X T. Huarazensis and a seedling i brought up from seed: T. Bridgesii "3392" X Trichocereus cv. "Mystic".

The only surviving seedling of the batch of 3392 bridgesii x mystic peruvianus I sowed some months ago. A littel accident killed the rest but i planted this in a pot with a huge Kalanchoe. Pic number 2 is Melocactus Matanzanus.
