Band of the Week - Cake

Hello beauties! I was on a bit of a vacation yesterday, I hope you don't mind. I figured now would be a good time to introduce Band of the Week. It's simple enough- I'll name a band that I've listened to and found that I liked more than a few of their songs. I will also include some of their songs I like the most. This week, that band is Cake.

Cake has a unique style. Some of the songs, such as The Distance and Rock 'N Roll Lifestyle, are spoken in parts. Whether spoken or sung, the singer's voice is recognizable. Really, you just have to listen to it to know what I mean.

Murmaider by Dethklok

Warning - Heavy metal

Murmaider is a song by heavy metal band Dethklok. The band is from a cartoon TV show called Metalocalypse, which I wouldn't recommend to anyone with a weak stomach or general sense. It's a very gore-y show, to say the least. It's about a band (Dethklok) that more or less rules the world- anyone and everyone is a huge fan and it's to the point where a government of some kind constantly monitors them. I was rewatching the first season yesterday. The song Murmaider, the characters say, is about mermaid murder and is included in an album that they (didn't actually in real life) recorded underwater. The music is intended for fish, by the way.

And just because I love Toki, here's a clip of him singing the "Underwater Friends" song. It's very tame, but I would still use caution watching it.
