Top 5 Irish Beers

Good evening everyone!! Welcome back to our page. in today's post we will be listing Ireland's top 5 beers.

At No.5 we have O' Hara's Irish Pale Ale.

It comes from from the Carlow Brewing Company is one of the best Irish beers if you like a very flavourful and strong beer.

In 4th place is Mescan Brewery Beer

Made in Croagh Patrick in Mayo and it’s owned and run by two Westport vets. If you enjoy strong beers this is also a great option.

No.3 is Guinness.

One of Ireland's most famous Irish beer brands. A good pint of Guinness is creamy with no bitterness. It has coffee, chocolate and mild roasted notes.

No.2 is Harp Lager

Harp Lager is an Irish lager created in 1960. It is produced by the Guinness Brewery. It is slightly sweet with a faint bitter in the finish.

In 1st place we have Murphy's Irish Stout.

Murphy’s originated in Cork and dates back to 1856. It’s sold widely in Cork and available online, too. Taste-wise there are strong coffee and chocolatey notes with little to no bitterness.

The Blue Light Pub.

Located at the foot of the Dublin Mountains, The Blue Light pub boasts an amazing atmosphere with a range of draught pints and live music every night!

Myself and Chris kept it simple with a pint of Coors and there was no complaints from our side.

If you ever find yourself in the Dublin Mountains area this is a certified establishment (By OnlyPints) to pick up a cold refreshing pint with a view of South Dublin.

Nestled high in the Mountains, in the peaceful township of Glencullen and surrounded by the beautiful scenery and serenity of the Wicklow & Dublin’s countryside, Johnnie Fox’s is just a 20 minute drive from Bray.

The majority of ingredients for the restaurant are sourced locally, from high-quality “farm to fork suppliers”. Great food comes from great ingredients, and it is for this reason that customers are drawn to Johnnie Fox’s year after year. Our menu boasts classic Irish dishes along with impressive seafood platters and a few modern favourites for balance.

We also have our very own bakery and all of our breads and desserts are baked daily (you may get a waft of fresh bread baking or our secret recipe whiskey pudding being put together). We have been tweaking the ingredients for our Johnnie Fox’s brown bread for years until we have finally perfected the mix to give flavour, texture and moisture to accompany your chosen dish.
