Nick: I don't think you have to be pro-Seblaine to be okay with Sebastian being there. Tina only said we should decide if we invite him next month - just to make sure they aren't at war. But if they're not, I'm sure it's fine. Wes will be fine if we're being reasonable. He'll appreciate that it would seem impolite to invite all the Warblers except Seb and Hunt, especially if they seem to be getting along ok

Sam: Oh I just remembered. Catie invited Hunter and Jay to come caroling with us . I'll see about brokering a cease-fire between Blaine and Hunter.

Sam: I think Cooper isn't anti-Seblaine, he likes that Seb's a bajillionaire XD

Nick: Hah that's a whole different story. We'll just make sure he's not manning the entrance. Though I've never known him to be able to stop Sebastian from going anywhere :D

Sam: The events people at the museum will have catering referrals if Trent doesn't have any - the bartenders will be included with that.

Tina: Sam and Blaine are closing the store between Christmas and New Year's. We've been selling inventory for weeks. I'm going to get over as often as I can get away from Cam's family.

Sam: We can keep the instruments past closing. Coop wanted to donate some to the school so we'll just keep them in the ceramics storage unit before we give them to the music department

Tina: We'll keep the flowers understated but gorgeous. Blaine will appreciate how beautiful they'll make things. The perfect contrast to the funkier boho elements. I can't wait to see it! Great idea on donating them, Marley. Could you ask around for one near the museum to see who would want them, and when we can bring them over the next day?

Sam: Marley you and Blaine should do All or Nothing, and Tina you guys have to do More Than a Feeling.

David: We gotta bring back Misery! Why can't you, do what you do to me...YEAH!

Nick: I agree with your first instinct, Marley, on the invites - the fancy kind made thick paper. Blaine would love that, even if he only gets it after the party - for a souvenir.

Tina: I'll ask Artie Abrams to get you the ND addresses for the invites, thanks, Trent! We can look at the McKinley people who re in New York - not sure how many of them there are. I don't think we want to do out of town invites for people in clubs out side of the Warblers and ND. He was never as close to those folks and I don't want it to feel impersonal? But if there's someone who he's really close with just tell Sam or Artie? Like Dave K, definitely.

Sam: I think Blaine's made a friends through the store and through Kurt, I'll talk to Kurt and ask Cooper about vendors and dear customers and stuff. There can be families who get invited who then leave when the raging starts?

Wes: I was just thinking for Blaine themed drinks someone we could spend some time with to help capture the essence of Blaine would be good.

Marley: That's so sad. I'm glad they're donating some instruments though. That's cool. Good idea on what to do with them Sam while we're waiting. With the timing of Blaine's party, they will be ready to go second semester.

Marley: I sure can get that information Tina. Oh wow, I haven't thought of that in forever. Sam's right though Tina, you have to do that.

Jeff: The invitations sound cool. I just hope that having people related to the store doesn't end up making him sad. It might.

If Tina's feeling like I am, I'm not going to mention to Blaine we're going unless I have to.

Sam: Interesting theory on Blaine never dating Seb after breaking up with Kurt. I have been thinking it was because he knew it would mean the split with Kurt would be for good. He never could let go of Kurt, and Sebastian is probably a little scary. Like you said, he's afraid to let himself be happy. Maybe he's thought love has to have the challenges he and Kurt have had.

Sam: Or, he's just been scared of Sebastian. And I know you guys are close to Sebastian, but the guy does not exactly have Long-term-relationship written all over him.

Nick: Hah true. But I always thought Blaine could wrap Seb around his finger and get him to do anything, including a long term relationship. But Blaine might not see that, I see your point.

Sam: Sebastian kind of LOOKS like a ferocious dinosaur. Which makes the location of Blaine's birthday party PERFECT!!!

Jeff: Oh score!! We can work some magic on Tina at the party. Yeah, probably a good thing on not mentioning it to Blainers.

Jeff: I think it's got to be all of it. I have a hard time believing just one of those would keep B from Seb. Ohhhh but also... B is a super romantic. And lets be real, hs Seb, in no way ready for B like that. HE SO WOULD HAVE, you're right Nick, but B wasn't seeing it. So B was hoping that wasn't just his shot. You know?????

Sam: Yes, Blaine definitely jumped on the furniture. But he became more notorious for breaking out into song in the courtyard during lunch

David: Hah now I gotta go look up those YT videos

Tina: Love the concept, Jeff - but maybe to make it prettier we get use real musical instruments? Blaine's got old ones we were going to send to the repair shop to salvage for parts - Sam and I could tell Blaine's we're taking them to the shop but instead take them to Sam's school and save them somewhere until the party?

David: My cousin Mason has a floral shop in Long Island, I can ask if he does jobs in the city - I bet he would give us a discount

Tina: That would be amazing. Tell him I'll be making an appointment to look at his wedding design photographs

David: He's really going to appreciate that!

Nick: It seems only right for the ND sing some songs for Blaine, too. And if we can choreograph in advance, we could do some simple two stepping for a number for the ND and Warblers to do together? Just have everyone come early to the party for a quick rehearsal. We can do a song we all know so the vocals won't be hard - like "What Makes You Beautiful?" The lyrics are kinda perfect for him

Wes: Blaine always did love an impromptu, public performance.

Trent: That he did. He always wanted us out in the community spreading cheer via song.

Jeff: So when is the store closing? Will we be able to keep the instruments for that long?

Wes: We don't need to go overboard with the flowers though. They're pretty, but they also die. And we'll have to do something with all of the flowers after the party. Anyone know Blaine's favorite flower?

Marley: We could always donate any flowers to a nursing home after the party.

Jeff: Oh for sure! I am sure there are a couple of ND songs Blaine took more lead on right? And I love the idea of everyone coming together for one or two too. What makes you beautiful is a great choice Nick!

Marley: There are definitely a couple of choices for the ND to do too.

Trent: I agree. Do we want real invitations or e-invites? I can take care of that either way. I do have access to the Warbler data base, and if someone from McKinley can help me contact the New Directions, that would be great. I definitely think we need an RSVP so that we know the number we are dealing with.

Marley: I think Blaine would like the real ones, but since we're not going to send him one, and the party is a surprise, an e-invite would work too. I can help you with the McKinley side Trent. Are we sticking to just ND? Because Blaine was involved in so much at McKinely in his senior year, like Cheerios and being school president, and all those clubs he was in. OH! Plus didn't he date Dave for a bit?

Wes: Blaine themed drinks? Anyone know a good mixologist?

Sam: YES, Jeff Sterling, YES. I WAS THERE when Sebastian and Jay (Hunter's new boyfriend), came to Blaine's store before Thanksgiving and they were like "Hey, Sebastian, I'm gonna bat my eyelashes at you," and then like, "Hey Killer, even though I try to be all macho I'm gonna bat mine right back." EXPLOSIVE. DYNOMITE!! So I asked Blaine about it because I knew Kurt and Blaine were gonna be breaking up soon and I thought Sebastian could be like the rebound guy to help Blaine get back in the dating pool...but then Blaine started talking and it sounds like he's thought about him since we graduated from high school. HE'S THE ONE WHO GOT AWAY, MAN. HE DECLARED IT.

Nick: Seb's said the same exact thing, except he curses about it and spends half the time dissing Kurt.

Sam: HE CALLS HIM "THE ONE WHO GOT AWAY"?

Nick: Not in so many words, but he definitely thinks of Blaine as the one who got away.

Sam: Haha yes, Hunter Clarington is a big pile of goop for his boyfriend and he doesn't even try to hide it. Catie's happy about it. She likes Jay. She didn't like Sebastian for Hunter.

Sam: Blaine's still a little delicate with the break up and the store closing, so maybe we'll take him out for a guys' night, too. You guys do your New Year's thing and we'll do the same on Blaine's side. Maybe everyone tries to work Seb or Blaine into the conversation with the other, grease the skids, and we'll try to get them together in the New Year?

Nick: Sounds good to me.

Jeff: Awe... those two are like little magnets, I swear to God. No, no, not rebound. I'm convinced...convinced... that's why Blaine has never come to Seb after any break up with Kurt. Part of him knows Seb would never, could never, be just a rebound.

Jeff: Blaine can get pretty in his head about stuff. I can't believe he's been carrying this for so long though. Like he's been afraid to let himself be happy.

Jeff: That doesn't surprise me about Seb though. I mean, yeah, that's not really his vocabulary, but you don't have to be around the two of them long to know Blaine was always different, special even, to Seb. But DON'T try to tell him that. RAWR. He goes all ferocious dinosaur.

Jeff: Don't get me wrong, Hunter and Seb was good. You can just see the way they click and in a way it makes ALL kinds of sense. But they're not Seb and Blaine. Hunter is one of those guys you worry might end up being alone forever then, so I'm glad he's bounced back. It's hilarious to think of him like that. I CANT WAIT to see it in person. Heh heh heh.

Jeff: Yeah that sounds good. Wait... you and Catie aren't invited to the Huntbastian break up party? What about Tina and Cam?

Jeff: Poor B. That's so rough. It's hard to see him unhappy.

Nick: Wes, Seb and Hunt are definitely broken up. Seb is just being his flirty self - I think to cover up how uncomfortable the breakup probably is. Have you ever known Sebastian to do anything like normal people do? No one flirts with their ex, at least not right after breaking up with them. But this is Bas.

David: Sounds like him - aw, I feel bad for him. I'm gonna reach out.

Sam: Marls, I saw Blaine texting with Kurt, so I think we're safe. It wasn't text fighting. I think they kind broke up without saying as much, a long time ago.

Nick: Seb's ok, I think he's reeling a bit but he's still tough, moving onwards and upwards. He said wanted to cut Hunter loose so Hunter can be in closed relationships, get married someday. I guess that makes sense given Hunter's traditional family background.

Nick: Both of them are so private, but maybe we can do something just to be with them and not talk. Catch up on everything else, get a little drunk. Maybe a Guys' dinner, pre-party on New Year's Even? Eventually Seb'll talk and give us more to go on. Hunt's always a mystery. Hope he's okay. I imagine he'll have to move.

Nick: Sam, are you with Tina on Seb and Blaine? She sounded pretty skeptical about Blaine coming around.

Sam: NO! I'm so glad you asked! It might take awhile, but I think he'll come around eventually with some help from us. Before all the work stuff, Blaine basically said Sebastian was The One That Got Away, and man when he and Sebastian first met up again, it was like no time had passed since high school. They connected again right away, and the chemistry was like explosive! And then the work stuff got in the way...

Sam: Pro tip: Tina actually likes Sebastian. He went to business school with her fiance' and she is getting to know him. But Blaine's so mad she doesn't dare say anything yet. We can use her strategically, Blaine trusts her more than me when it comes a lot of stuff.

Sam: Catie said Hunter seems okay. A little mopey sometimes, but then his new boyfriend comes around and he's like stupid-in-love. Kinda hard to believe for Steroids!Warbler, but she doesn't lie.

Jeff: Sam Evans!! I am so glad I added you to this text thread. This is awesome news. Wait... Before the work stuff Blaine thought that about Sebastian, that he was the one that got away? Before he and Kurt broke up then???

Tina: Hunter, no - Blaine can't stand him. Sebastian, let's leave off the committee and figure out later if we invite him. He and Blaine have been at war at work, not sure how that will pan out in a month

Sam: Anyone here know if Sebastian broke up with Hunter, or the reverse? Curious.

Nick: The first one. I didn't even know they broke up until I got that NYE invitation, but I got it out of Seb when I called him. No offense to Kurt, but I'm hoping Seb and Blaine can put aside the work stuff and finally get together.

Tina: But it's not just work stuff. It's his grandmother's gift to him. She left it to him when she was dying. I'm not totally opposed to Sebastian, as it seems like he's changed since high school, but I just don't know if Blaine is going to ever see him differently after the way they've both been acting.

Tina: So Trent, can you rent a high end sound system and some of the instruments Blaine likes to play - Sam can tell you which

Sam: I can get space, and make sure they have a stage we can do, and see about security and stuff.

David: What kind of decorations do we want, do we want to go hipster/folksy or elegant?

Tina: Marley Blaine and Kurt are okay, they've been thinking about it for a long time, they tried therapy, so it was not a shock. They actually seem more...free.

Wes: I'm glad to hear that Tina, about Kurt and Blaine. Nick- as much as I can appreciate Sebastian, I am with Tina. I think this business with his grandmother's store and the way they've been acting will be too much for them to possibly even be friends again; let alone more. As for Sebastian and Hunter it's not evident on social media that they've broken up though. The invitation was definitely shocking.

Marley: Oh, well that sounds good. Hopefully they will be able to remain friends.

Jeff: Got it! No Warbler Captains for now, maybe Seb later. My vote if hipster folksy on the decorations. Fun though. Maybe a theme? Something that music and singing and dancing and drinking will all tie into well. Like 'A Night at the Roxbury'.

Trent: I'll get us a space and rent any instruments. Although the smaller ones it might be easier for us to bring Blaine's own somehow. His guitar, his base, but I could get keyboards, or a piano... What about drums?

Trent: Sam, just shoot me an email and we can hammer out the finer details about instruments and what size piano the space can hold. I do like the idea of a theme Jeff. But it's Blaine and he's turning 30. Maybe something a little more elegant. Like those old fashioned black and white movies and musicals he loves to watch.

Jeff: Oh shoot. It either never rains or it pours huh? Congrats on the GF Sam. So she must work with Hunter then. That could be interesting. I think they could definitely do elegant if we wanted. That Diamond Event looked pretty upper crust.
