another old drawing for the circus arc, and another headcanon, that reapers can hide their presence from mortals (this is reinforced by manga Emerald Witch arc, where Sascha and Ludger wonder why our Ciel can see them). People who have contracts with demons, or who participated in the murder, see them anyway, gray, more like living statues with cracks.

i miss him. I am a widower waiting upon the cliffside, lantern overlooking the dark sea. Foam fizzles upon the rocks below, waves taking a touch of land away with them. Each lap of water is bringing me closer to joining the ocean. Two more weeks, I tell myself. His associates have arrived to shore safely last week; Their boat floats by the docks, bobbing with each pull of the tide. My lantern only has so much oil before I am taken by darkness. Will he be home next week? Will it be the week after? Or shall I wait in the unknown for eternity? He is lost at sea.
