“Hmmm—” He paused; “Do you like reading books?” He friendly asked with a soft smile.
“I love reading books. As does my wife. We have an exceptional collection.” He smiled. “You?”

“Hmmm—” He paused; “Do you like reading books?” He friendly asked with a soft smile.
“I love reading books. As does my wife. We have an exceptional collection.” He smiled. “You?”
“That would be good, yes a cup of tea would do.” He smiled at the man.
“Please, come.” He gestured towards a table that ad been set up in the gardens.
“I am.. fine, thank you my Lord.” He paused. “Are you?”
“I am well too.” He smiled warmly. “Perhaps you would like to share a cup of tea with me?”
“Thank you Louis.” He responded; “Let’s change the subject of our conversation alright?”
“Of course. What would you wish to speak of?” The Prince asked in a light manner.
"May I have a moment to speak to you, my Lord?"
“Prince Louis. Your Highness.” Joseph said in a respectful tone of voice. “What can I do for you?”
“Navarre..” Joseph said out loud as he thought of who would be the best man to send. “Do you have anyone in mind, your Highness?” The Commander was half thinking to send one of the newly trained men. They would be unknown to the other Court and could possibly gain new alliances.
“I do not. I will leave up to you, my Lord.” Louis said with a small nod of his head. “I just don’t want my brother to find out..”
“She is fine, the death of my family has brought to both of us a great loss in our hearts, it has been something difficult to get over with but we are both still trying to find a bright side of the things that happened.” He responded.
“I am so sorry for the great loss you have experienced, my friend.” Louis said, his tone genuine and concerned.
“My Lord?” Louis said and walked up to him. “Are you alright?”
He smiled at him softly; “Glad to hear so, I have been well as well.” He paused; “Thank you for asking, how is Clementine?”
“She is alright.” Louis responded. “How about your wife, Arianne?”
"May I have a moment to speak to you, my Lord?"
“Prince Louis. Your Highness.” Joseph said in a respectful tone of voice. “What can I do for you?”
“I will, your Highness.” Joseph told Prince Louis as he set his cup of hot tea down. “Is there anyone you would like me to look into? Perhaps I could sent Matthieu to England and see what he can find out.”
“That is an excellent idea! And perhaps another French ambassador to Navarre as well..Since we, as a nation, have Spain’s alliance..my brother is concerning me a little.” Louis suggested.
“Thank you. my Lord.” He nodded his head as he spoke; “True, how have you been?”
“You do not have to call me Lord, Isaac.” He smiled a little. “I have been well. How about you?”
“Is there.. something you need?”
“Not in particular, no. I heard about your parents and wished to offer my condolences. And I haven’t seen you in a while..”
"May I have a moment to speak to you, my Lord?"
“Prince Louis. Your Highness.” Joseph said in a respectful tone of voice. “What can I do for you?”
“He has been behaving that way towards me as well.” Joseph told the Prince as he sat back down at his desk. “When Princess Claude went missing, the King gave me Sir Nicholas job and basically told me that it was my fault that she was missing.” The Commander paused to take a drink of his tea. “I did not argue with him. It was not my place to tell him that he couldn’t give me Nicholas’s title, nor that my job was to protect him only, but I fear for him.” Though it had been some years since Joseph had been at court, he remembered well how gossip destroyed many lives. “How can I help you?”
“Just keep an eye on him, if you can.” Louis sighed. “Now that Princess Claude has been found and is safe and sound things should calm down..” Even though he said that, Louis hardly believed it. “I am sure that we all together will be able to help him get some help..”
It just saddens me that we’ve gotten to the point of hoping for miraculous recoveries.
I am not even sure we have..to be honest. I cannot be certain that his Majesty has seek out a physician.
It terrifies me to think of what this illness could do to him.
I am sure he will have a miraculous recovery...Margaret. Or so I hope, to be honest..
"May I have a moment to speak to you, my Lord?"
“Prince Louis. Your Highness.” Joseph said in a respectful tone of voice. “What can I do for you?”
Joseph’s face fell. He knew that he couldn’t be the only person that had noticed the King’s behavior, but the Commander had hoped that he could deal with the matter before any of the Royals observed. “Have a seat.” His words still holding the respect tone of voice as he stood up and poured two cups of hot tea. “ I have been looking to the matter.” Joseph told the Prince after he closed the door to his office. “But I have barely come up with anything.”
“I have spoken to the Commander as well. The Queen of Scots, Mary. Nostradamus. I am trying to get people to help him, though...from what I have gathered the King is being defensive and won’t let people speak to him about it, or even hint to it, without getting upset.” Louis told him after thanking him for the cup of tea.
“I’m sorry, my friend.” Stefan didn’t know what else to say to Louis. He needed results, action, not words., but words were the only thing Stefan could offer the other Prince right now.
“Thank you.” Louis said and offered a small smile. He knew that Stefan meant well and he knew that if he needed anything, he would be there for him.
Oh, uh, yes. I’m praying he recovers.
I am sure he will. I pray for him as well.
