FDI equity inflows, Mauritius route

For a person like me who was completely ignorant about the FDI inflows of India, this came as a real surprise. How on earth could Mauritius top the list??

Then I came across an article on Wikipedia called the Mauritius Route. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauritius_route. This should give everyone a clear idea about the FDI equity inflows of India.

I was reading an article on the Occupy Wall Street movement and came across this image. India is in the midst of FDI reform changes and soon our own Dalal Street my face similar issues.
