When you walk in the front door.
Bonus Pictures: Just some pictures of the 2 bedrooms as they look now. The top 2 are from the bedroom at the front of the house and the bottom is from the room at the back of the house. We added the closets by stealing some space from the other bedroom. We moved just about every wall upstairs to reconfigure it. We also used the space by building in dresser unit.
Bonus pictures: This is a picture of the bathroom that we added. It is in the room with the laundry machines at the back of the house. The house now has 1.5 bathrooms rather than a 1 bath.
Looking up the stairs. Less creepy forrrrr sure.
Upstairs bathroom. Fact: You would come out of that shower dirtier than you were when you went in.
Looking from the living room to the stairs.
Looking from the dinette to the living room. Tearing down the walls was a good play.
Upstairs bathroom. Click the picture to get the full view.
Bedroom #1. Wouldn’t sleep in it before.
The upstairs. Made the bedroom bigger by putting a wall in the useless hallway. Click the picture to get the full view.
The old kitchen but now laundry room. Much better use of space.
The kitchen. My favourite transformation.
The dinette area. Just off the kitchen.
Living room area. Opened up and less carpet stains.
Main entrance: A much more inviting first impression when you walk in the front door.
THE FINAL (ISH) PRODUCT!
It has been a LONG haul and it took countless hours, lots of sweat, a decent amount of blood, a trailer full of beer, many F-bombs and a severed finger (its been re-attached) but here is the FINAL post for the reno bros. I will include the very first pictures when we bought the place and I will post the “after” picture right next to it from the same angle. A huge thanks to the people who have supported us in this adventure and continued to encourage us along the way. Another huge thank you to all the friends and family who helped swing a hammer, brush on paint, turn a screw and get all of the stuff done that you cant see behind the walls! This has been a wild ride and we have learned a lot. This kind of thing is a huge undertaking and looking back at the pictures it really hits home ( no pun intended) how much work goes into a full reno like this. Posting this last set of pictures really was a trip down memory lane. Its been roughly a year and a half and I could not be more proud and happy with how it turned out. On the pictures! Click the pictures to see the full size version as this format cuts off the photos.
