🐾 this is a multi-user ran account, by therians, for everyone ^_^
🌳 our goal is to share as much as we can from personal experience, as well as provide helpful labels and explanations for our community. we hope to provide a safe, positive space for likeminded individuals.
this is why physical therians are in our dni. stop asking pls! (<- link)
DNI (do not interact) ─ this includes using the terms coined by us.
radqueers, paras, proshippers, "physical" therians (transspecies are fine), nsfw, transid, racists, anti-lgbtq, xenophobic, maga, prolife, TERF, ai endorsers, anything hateful really. we block freely, and do not support ANY of the above identities.
Hello can we please have a "this user is a wolf dog" ? Please and ty if you do this ! ^^ we are a otherlink for wolf dogs so please dont put therian in it ^^
note: i used this (<- link) symbol because i wasn't sure of any other nonhuman symbols. if you'd like me to change it send another request and i will fix it!
Hey. I'm really not trying to be annoying, and I can see yall are getting fed up with the asks about why you ask that physical therians dni, but personally I don't think it really matters at all what labels critters use.
Somecritter calling themselves a physical therian doesn't affect you or your experience interacting with them. If yall don't support physical therians but do support transspecies critters, and you believe they mean the same thing, then it does not matter in the slightest what label they decide to use.
If somecritter isn't comfortable calling themselves transspecies, but their experience would be described as physical, and they use the label 'physical therian', it does not affect you.
Labels are there to help explain the weird experiences that critters have. Every single critter is different, and if they want to use the label 'physical therian' instead of transspecies, so be it.
Why does it matter.
whether labels matter is ultimately a matter of perspective. in our view, they do matter. labels exist to describe specific experiences, and if a label no longer refers to a distinct experience, it loses its usefulness.
therianthropy and physical animal identity describe different experiences, different communities, and different identities. there's nothing inherently wrong with either of them, but they are not interchangeable.
the term "physical therian" is contradictory because therianthropy has historically referred to a non-physical identity. combining the two changes the established meaning of the term.
that's why we think preserving these distinctions is important. the history of therianthropy is a significant part of its identity and legacy, and historically, therianthropy is strictly non-physical.
What if someone is both a physical therian and transspecies ?
we follow the definition of therianthropy that concludes it is internal, or otherwise non physical. if someone claims to identify as a therian, but it is physical for them, they are not welcome here. however, if they are transspecies and a psychological/spiritual therian, they are welcome!
