do you think misaki has some jealousy issues mixed with fear of abandonment whenever saruhiko talks to a guy

like he's all safe and reassured when saru's talking to a lady because 1)saruhiko's gay 2)this way he himself is out of talking

with a guy he's a bit jealous and possessive like oi who tf is he why do u talk to him andddd the what if saru likes him more than md and leaves me for him kind of thing

considering he probably should habe some fear on that part because of saruhiko leaving homra for s4 so...

Yata being the jealous one with abandonment issues is a nice change of pace, oh how the turntables. Imagine Yata himself not even being aware of this at first, like yeah he gets annoyed when Munakata talks to Fushimi but that’s because it’s Munakata and of course Yata gets irritated at the guy who lured Fushimi away in the first place plus it’s the Blue King (while Yata has gotten better at growing out of his Homra vs The World mindset and while he’s friendly with some of the alphabet boys something about the Blue King just gets his hackles up). He does get a little more on edge when like Hidaka or Akiyama talk to Fushimi but he knows the S4 boys have to talk to Fushimi for work and anyway he wants Fushimi to have friends, he doesn’t want Fushimi to be isolated. Fushimi talking to Awashima or any other women doesn’t bother Yata at all because it’s not like Saruhiko would ever look twice at a woman, nothing to worry about there.

But when random rank and file S4 guys talk to Fushimi or someone at a bar sits next to him or Fushimi has to talk to another guy as part of a mission Yata finds himself getting tense. Imagine him letting his temper get away with him sometimes too, like some guy is chatting up Fushimi at the bar and Fushimi isn’t even really giving the guy the time of day but even so Yata ‘accidentally’ knocks the guy to the ground when he brings Fushimi their drinks. That sort of thing I think Fushimi would enjoy, Yata showing his possessiveness and making it clear that Fushimi belongs to him. Because of that Fushimi doesn’t really notice the way Yata gets upset when Fushimi talks to other guys in a friendly (or at least polite, Fushimi doesn’t often do friendly) manner, like Yata will be getting increasingly frustrated and Fushimi just fussily waves him away and assumes Yata is just being annoying, not realizing that Yata is jealous. 

I think Fushimi would be kinda upset realizing the reason Yata’s possessiveness is this fear of someone leaving him without explaining again, like just a reminder that Fushimi really did hurt Yata by leaving the way he did. I think Yata would actually probably be hesitant to tell him for just that reason, like he doesn’t want Fushimi to blame himself when this is something Yata has to work through. Fushimi figures it out anyway — Yata grumbles that Fushimi can be way too perceptive when he wants to be — and is probably all annoyed because he feels guilty about it and doesn’t want to admit it. This would make things tense between them and imagine Yata is the one trying to make Fushimi feel better all of a sudden, like no really it’s not because of you I can deal with this. But then Fushimi gives this heavy sigh and clicks his tongue, and for once he’s looking Yata in the eye as he says slowly and clearly that Yata doesn’t have to be worried like that, Fushimi isn’t going to leave, because Yata is the only person whose side he wants to stay by. Yata suddenly finds himself getting red-faced and Fushimi quickly looks away, shrugging like it was no big deal what he said and mumbling that isn’t it time for dinner, and Yata grins, feeling oddly reassured. After this I like the idea that whenever Yata’s getting jealous Fushimi will tug on his shirt or grab his wrist and tell Yata to look at him, acting all annoyed that Yata’s paying attention to someone else (even though Yata’s only looking at that person because they were talking to Fushimi in the first place), making sure Yata knows that all Fushimi wants is Yata’s eyes on him, always.

Everyone is tired bc Sarumi keep making out everywhere but think there being subtle.

Saru gets called on emergency patrol: there he is with uniform slightly unkept, and oh look, Misaki happens to be there too with a bad hair day.

Misaki needs to watch the bar: weird, when Kusanagi walks in saru is flushed on the couch and Misaki is on the floor beside him suddenly doing push ups

The clans are tired

Imagine this like just after ROK and Fushimi and Yata are trying to pretend that they’re just friends rediscovering each other when they’re really dating. They do intend to tell people eventually but Fushimi thinks it’s a pain and doesn’t want to deal with Munakata being weird about it, while Yata is still like wrapping his head around the fact that he’s in love with his best friend. Maybe they’re both still on edge due to their past and this is kind of a ‘let’s try it out and if it doesn’t work out we can still be friends,’ and they don’t want to tell anyone because that will be added pressure. The problem is that everyone else can clearly see that these idiots have been in love since middle school and are totally obsessed with each other, and meanwhile Yata and Fushimi can’t keep their hands off each other so it’s totally obvious to everyone but them what’s going on.

Like one day Kusanagi asks Yata to watch the bar while he and Anna are out, Yata’s super excited to be given this level of responsibility and is it okay if Saruhiko stops by. Kusanagi and Anna exchange a look and Kusanagi sighs as he says well Fushimi is trustworthy, Yata’s a little miffed because didn’t you leave the bar to me because I’m trustworthy too. Of course when Kusanagi gets back both Fushimi and Yata have flushed faces, the couch appears to have been hastily cleaned and Yata is pretending he had to run a bunch of product back and forth to stock the shelves, that’s totally why he’s out of breath. Kusanagi makes a mental note not to leave them alone together in his bar again, he’s going to have to do such a deep clean. 

On joint Homra-S4 missions they’ll both show up separately but at suspiciously similar times and Fushimi’s uniform will be rumpled while Yata has his beanie pulled all the way down to try and hide his messy hair. After the mission is over Enomoto goes to take care of things in one of the vans and finds it locked, Fushimi’s irritated voice tells him just a minute. Shortly afterward the door opens and Fushimi is there with his shirt unbuttoned and Yata with his pants rumpled, Fushimi explains there was a ‘technical issue’ and he needed Yata to get under the control panel because Fushimi’s too tall for it (Yata starts to argue about that and Fushimi shoots him a look). Enomoto very carefully says oh, right, okay, that’s fine. At the end of another mission Doumyouji needs to find Fushimi to ask him a question and oh he and Yatagarasu were last seen heading to that alleyway okay, and the rest of the S4 alphabet have to drag him away because you can ask him later, don’t go in there. Yata and Fushimi think they’re doing a good job being low key about this and their fellow clansmen wish they would at least announce when they’re getting a room because no one is fooled right now. (Well, Munakata perhaps has been heard to idly comment about how hard Fushimi’s been working when he shows up to work flushed and no one is sure if he knows or not. Finally one day Munakata walks in on the two of them in his office, Yata quickly grabs his shirt and tries to say something about helping change a lightbulb. Munakata smiles serenely and asks them both to have a seat, he’s been waiting for the right opportunity to give Fushimi-kun a speech on the birds and the bees.)

In true k fashion, Misaki has a large chest. But because she wears baggy clothes she gets the anime magic of looking flat. That is until Saruhiko comes around to cuddle/grope her girlfriend. (We don’t get enough Yuri appreciation of these two imo)

Yata finally gets that growth spurt, but only in her chest XD Imagine Yata in middle school was just the flattest most tomboy looking girl out there, Fushimi was probably always teasing her for being so flat (even though Fushimi also didn’t have much going on there either, considering her diet). Once puberty hits though Yata starts to fill out and while she likes being able to lord the bigger chest over Saruhiko — who’s like big deal, you’re still a shorty with more boob than brain — she also finds the whole thing really annoying. Like imagine Yata in this AU gets nervous around guys and suddenly she’s getting all this male attention for her chest, I can imagine the last year of middle school and she’s constantly getting detention for fighting guys who like wolf whistled at her or made a pass. She also doesn’t like how it messes with her balance and activity, like it’s harder to run around with her boobs always bouncing. Fushimi finally has to drag her to a lingerie store to buy a good supportive sports bra and Yata’s life is changed.

Once she doesn’t have to wear a school uniform anymore Yata quickly switches to baggier clothes, because it’s easier for her to move in and this hides her figure so weird guys will leave her alone. Most of Homra has no idea that Yata’s so well endowed, imagine most of the Homra guys think Yata’s probably mostly flat or just more muscle than anything because her clothes hide her figure. Fushimi’s the only one who really knows, imagine when they’re enemies Fushimi is always taunting Yata for being a big boob idiot and people think she’s being sarcastic. Then post-ROK when they start dating people start to realize that no, Yata is definitely not flat. Like imagine they’re alone at the bar and some of the Homra alphabet unexpectedly walk in, Yata yelps and quickly tries to act normal but everyone absolutely saw Fushimi with her face buried in Yata’s chest and Yata’s baggy hoodie has gotten all smushed against her body so the boobs are clearly seen. Yata quickly tries to play it off, like we weren’t doing anything my clothes are fine, trying to readjust herself, which is when the sports bra that Fushimi had already partially unhooked comes undone and frees Yata's beautiful bouncing chest. Fushimi is pretty pleased with herself while Yata’s bright red and yelling at her like I told you not to unhook it until we were back at my place. Chitose feels like they’ve been blessed with this new knowledge of Yata’s chest and Yata starts threatening to kick the ass of anyone who even glances at her chest (and meanwhile Fushimi is suddenly glaring at everyone because those are hers to play with, is she going to have to stab someone).

Misaki learning about the word "twink" and finally finding something else to call Saruhiko

Imagine Yata learning about this but not being aware of the queer connotations, especially if this post-ROK but before they start dating. Say one day one of the Homra guys is talking to Yata and jokingly refers to Fushimi as Yata’s ‘pet twink.’ Yata is confused as to what that means and it’s explained to him that it’s a word for a skinny guy, Yata’s like huh well yeah I guess Saruhiko is a twink. He goes to meet Fushimi for drinks and Fushimi is teasing him about his height and Yata’s like I don’t need to hear that from a twink like you. Fushimi clicks his tongue and wonders who’s been teaching Yata new words, Yata’s like who cares where I learned it, it describes you right. Fushimi shrugs and says maybe, Yata’s like ha see you can’t argue. After this he starts using it regularly and imagine it even seeps into his regular conversation, like one day he’s waiting for Fushimi at S4 and grumbling in front of one of the S4 alphabet about ‘that irritating twink keeping me waiting.’ The alphabet boys do a double take and then hurry to go get Fushimi. Yata probably doesn’t even learn about the connotations until like weeks later and suddenly he gets all embarrassed like why the hell didn’t you tell me that (and then he and Fushimi eventually start dating and now Yata gets to call him a twink again without fear).

thinking about how So Much Worse things would be for sarumi if saruhiko was a girl. maybe saru was a late bloomer considering she's basically suffering from malnutrition and doesn't really participate in traditional girly things, so yata could just. Not Think about it. but then puberty hits and suddenly that's harder and it gets worse since it coincides with them getting into Homra. and fushimi is hating every second of her life because she's also having stupid girly feelings about yata and she just wants things to go back to the only moment in time when she was happy.

I always like the idea that Yata didn’t even know Fushimi was a girl when they first met, like Fushimi wears the male uniform because she doesn’t like skirts and she hides in the boy’s bathroom because no one will look for her there. She’s all skinny and malnourished so she’s obviously flat as a board with no curves whatsoever, and it doesn’t even occur to Yata that Fushimi is on the girls side when she’s sitting out gym class. I imagine Fushimi being very amused when Yata’s freaking out about Aya, obviously unable to handle girls but somehow he’s never had a problem with Fushimi. It’s not until they become friends and Fushimi stays the night that Yata discovers it, imagine his mom making sure that Fushimi has a separate futon to sleep on because it might be uncomfortable for a girl to share the bed with a boy. Yata’s all ‘girl?’ and his mom gives him a look, Yata goes running to find Saruhiko. Fushimi is totally unconcerned about it all ‘you never asked’ and Yata’s stuttering like ‘but that’s— you could have said—‘ . Fushimi’s getting particularly annoyed that Yata’s suddenly treating her different and Yata’s quickly like no I’m not, Fushimi is absolutely pouting and Yata rushes to reassure her that it’s different, Saruhiko isn’t a girl girl. Something about that makes Fushimi feel this stir of irritation but she ignores it, as long as things can stay the same between them she’s happy with it.

Then puberty hits right around the time they join Homra, at this point Fushimi is eating better thanks to Yata and imagine she actually starts to fill out a little more. Yata suddenly finds things feeling a lot more awkward because before he could tell himself that Saruhiko was ‘just one of the guys’ but now he’s like finding bras in the laundry and it’s making his heart pound and he doesn’t know why. Yata doesn’t want to ruin his friendship with Fushimi though and anyway he’s got Homra to keep his mind off things so imagine he leans even more into wanting to do stuff with the whole group. In Yata’s mind he’s making it less awkward to hang out with Fushimi as a group rather than just the two of them but of course to Fushimi this just shows that Yata never thought of her as something besides her gender, like of course he doesn’t want to be near me when his hero ‘Mikoto-san’ is around and I’m just a girl.

Fushimi is also having her own hormone issues too, because she’s absolutely noticing that her heart beats louder when Yata’s around. I imagine her having all these contradictory feelings where she wants Yata to treat her like he used to but she also wants him to see her as a girl, she doesn’t want things to change but she wants him to see her differently, and it pisses her off because everything was fine before puberty hit. She probably starts blaming this on Homra by proximity, like the issue isn’t her own feelings it’s Homra ruining everything and taking all Yata’s attention away (and I imagine Fushimi would be treated somewhat differently in Homra being a girl, like suddenly even Yata is thinking she needs to be protected more even though she’s plenty strong, or random guys at the bar hitting on her and getting mad when she calls them scum and pulls a knife). I can see Fushimi kinda wrapping all these issues up together and when she eventually leaves Homra she starts dressing more feminine in her uniform in S4 specifically to spite Yata, with her shirt unbuttoned and cleavage showing. To Fushimi’s mind if her being a girl is what made Yata start to pull away then she’ll force it into his face until he starts to hate her and then maybe she can bury all these stupid girly feelings.

12 years after the events of rok, yata and fushimi are living happily ever after, successful anf in love and mostly healed.

Then some strain with the power to turn into a version of someone from years ago appears somehow and after some events we now have pre-rok fushimi

Now!Fushimi is trying not to cringe at every "MiiiSaaaKiiiiiiiii"

Yata wants to bang his head head somewhere because he had finally forgotten those days and is used to softly drawled out "misakiii"s by his husband and now this nightmare of past is in front of him

Imagine younger Fushimi using the ‘only interested in blood and flesh’ line and current Fushimi is just dying, having his cringey edgy younger self right there in front of him. Twelve years after ROK Fushimi has grown a lot, he still struggles with some things but for the most part he’s left that bitter part of him in the past. There are still Strains around and Yata and Fushimi probably regularly take them down as like the perfect team, the two of them always working in tandem with more friendly banter than angry arguing. They’re like on their way home from a date when Fushimi gets a call from S4 about a Strain being in the area, Yata figures come on we can take it no problem. The Strain turns out to be more trouble than expected though, like the Strain is super agile and keeps evading even Yata. At one point the Strain goes after Yata and Fushimi without even pausing just immediately puts himself between them, taking the brunt of the attack. Yata’s vision is momentarily obscured and he’s calling for Fushimi, which is when he hears a voice he knows speaking in a tone he hasn’t heard in years: “Who said you could call me, Misaki?”

Yata is confused as to why Fushimi is talking to him that way, sometimes Fushimi still drags out his name but it’s more playful usually, lightly teasing, not these long twisted syllables. Yata initially thinks that maybe Fushimi like lost his memory or something and imagine him trying to explain basically the entire plot of the anime so Fushimi will know they’re not enemies anymore, and then a second slightly older looking Fushimi steps out of an alley and is like so that’s what the power does. Yata startles, he didn’t really notice at first (because Fushimi’s smooth skin refuses to wrinkle, it’s never seen the sun after all) but now that the two are standing side by side he can see that ‘his’ Fushimi is slightly older. The younger Fushimi looks ‘himself’ up and down while the current Fushimi glares at his younger self and then they both tongue click in tandem.

They can’t just let this other Fushimi wander around so they take him back to S4, where Munakata is probably amused to have two Fushimis all of a sudden. He suggests that the younger Fushimi stick close to his older self and both Fushimis immediately start to protest, Munakata happily says it will be good for them both. Fushimi’s grumbling like ‘good how?’ but even so he drags his angry younger self along with him. Yata comes to greet him and looks at younger Fushimi like so he’s sticking with us for now, younger Fushimi objects and doesn’t understand why he would be spending time with that idiot Misaki, he’s a traitor after all. Older Fushimi tells him not to run his mouth about things he doesn’t understand and younger Fushimi gives him a withering look, like this is why I never wanted to be an adult, I can’t believe I grew up to be such a loser. Fushimi says his younger self should be lucky he managed to grow out of being such a brat and Yata snickers all I don’t know about that, both Fushimis glare at him.

Imagine they take younger Fushimi back to their apartment but then some emergency comes up and older Fushimi has to leave, Yata tells him it’s fine he’ll watch other Fushimi. Younger Fushimi is acting all irritated and cold, imagine him trying to goad Yata into fighting constantly and Yata having to grit his teeth and ignore it. He’s gotten used to Fushimi saying his name in this soft familiar tone and hearing that twisted angry version just makes his skin crawl, reminding him of stuff he wanted to forget. Imagine at one point though younger Fushimi stops taunting Yata and starts badmouthing his older self and that’s when Yata turns and gives him a cold look as he’s like hey, edgy brat. Yata doesn’t care if this Saruhiko mocks him but don’t you dare mock your older self, my Saruhiko worked hard to change from you into a guy who could be happy in his own skin. It was hard and sometimes there are still setbacks but Yata’s seen how much work Fushimi did in order to be with Yata and have a healthy relationship with him, how much Fushimi’s tried to overcome his past and his anger and trauma to become someone who can smile honestly and say Yata’s name softly, and there’s no way Yata’s going to let this twisted younger version put down all the work that older Fushimi did. Younger Fushimi is lucky that he’s gonna get to go through all that one day and come out the other side even better, so Yata tells him that he needs to keep his mouth shut and maybe he could learn something from his other self.

She is neat :D And very Fushimi, because she’s lazy and likes it when Yata is the one giving her full attention. I feel like this is something Yata wouldn’t be terribly surprised by either, like the first time they have sex and every time Yata’s focused on Fushimi she’s obviously enjoying it more, just having Yata’s eyes on her is enough to get her going. Yata’s a little hesitant about being touched herself (because virgin) but somehow it makes her more confident touching Fushimi, kissing her and stroking her and watching Fushimi be all selfish and needy. She’s also not at all surprised that Fushimi would rather lie back and be pleasured than do any work herself, Yata was probably assuming even from the start that she would be the one doing most of the initiating during sex. What surprises Yata is how much she herself enjoys it, like seeing Fushimi come undone under her is actually way hotter to Yata than Fushimi touching Yata would be, she likes taking control and seeing Fushimi be selfish and begging for more. Fushimi doesn’t at some point grudgingly offer to reciprocate, because she’s deep down aware that she should be giving too and not making Yata do everything. Yata just grins though and says actually she likes things better this way herself, like don’t worry princess your wish is my command. Fushimi hits her with a pillow but also gives her this sidelong look like well if you insist Misaki, I’ll let you take care of things again this time.

Imagine Yata asking the abc boys what type of person Saruhiko like rok. Just because saru doesn’t talk about and Misaki is just curious is all no other reason

The boys are like really? Short red hair tempter. Yata’s looking a little excited before domyogi comes over. Now he’s not so happy

Doumyouji’s taller than Fushimi though, and doesn’t really have a temper. It would be funny though if Yata somehow got it in his head that Fushimi has a crush on Doumyouji of all people, like Saruhiko keeps yelling at that guy he must be in love. Imagine post-ROK Yata’s like slowly trying to hint to Fushimi that Yata may have more-than-friendly feelings for him and Fushimi is absolutely missing each and every one of those hints because it’s Fushimi of course he is (after all, how could Misaki ever be interested in him, clearly these hints are all in his imagination). Yata is a little dejected about it but he’s unsure if he could be upfront about his crush because what if Fushimi doesn’t feel the same way and it messes with their friendship. 

One day Yata’s at S4 bringing Fushimi lunch and Fushimi happens to be out on a mission. Some of the other S4 guys are there though and Yata starts chatting with them, figuring maybe it could help if he can get some ideas from Fushimi’s coworkers. Yata tries to be all subtle like it’s been a long time since Saruhiko and I were together, anyway what kind of person do you think Saruhiko is most interested in. The S4 boys all exchange a glance, they do want to help Fushimi out though so Hidaka says he’s pretty sure Fushimi-san likes redheads. Yata’s all really, trying not to look excited, and Enomoto says that Fushimi seems to like people with more extroverted and honest personalities. Gotou serenely adds that Fushimi likes people who aren’t as smart as him, he seems to enjoy people who are idiots even, and Yata’s not sure if he should be happy about that or not. That’s when Fushimi walks in and Yata’s about to greet him when Fushimi turns to complain to Doumyouji beside him about something stupid Doumyouji did. Yata’s face immediately falls and behind him Hidaka and Enomoto are facepalming.

NGL s1 Fushimi gives me ‘baby trap’ energy. Or maybe I’m too focused on that one Misaru doujinshj where a strain turned him into a woman and he came back with a chihuahua saying Yata’s the dad lol

I don’t know if I quite get that vibe, honestly I think the main thing standing between S1 Fushimi and ‘baby trap’ (in a scenario where Fushimi can have a baby) would be that then he would have to have a baby and I feel like Fushimi’s parent issues would trump all other issues. I could see it being something he considered though not really pre-season one specifically, if anything I think it would be in Homra that he’d consider it. Like Fushimi is seeing Yata looking away from him and only being interested in Mikoto and he knows he can’t compete with Mikoto, he knows that he can’t beat a King and Misaki won’t look at him and call him amazing anymore and what can he do to get Yata to look at him. 

Maybe he’s so distracted that he accidentally ends up eating one of Totsuka’s ‘cooking experiments,’ left out at the bar, and as he’s making a face one of the Homra guys jokes about Fushimi having cravings. Everyone starts teasing Yata about being the cause and Yata is totally confused as Fushimi rolls his eyes and thinks how stupid. That’s when someone finally clues Yata in to the ‘is Fushimi pregnant’ joke and Yata freaks out even more and stuttering that of course he’d take responsibility. Fushimi calls him an idiot like why would I be pregnant living with a virgin like you, but in his head he’s now thinking well, here’s something Mikoto can’t do, and then Misaki would have to stay by my side. In the end though I think the whole idea of being pregnant and having a kid would just be too distasteful to him though, why would he of all people want to bring a brat into the world just to make things worse, it’s not like he’s equipped to be a parent and the idea of becoming someone like Niki or Kisa with a child he doesn’t care about is the only thing that’s worse to him than losing Misaki.

My poster disagrees with the latter part of that XD Yata knew what he was getting into though, he fell in love with a flat malnourished twink and that’s what he got. Imagine the Homra guys joking about it and Yata gets all red in the face, like hey I’m not like you perverts. Everyone thinks that when you get down to it maybe this is the perfect guy for a virgin like Yata — no ass, no boobs, just flat and chaste all the way down. Yata’s like don’t call me a virgin and anyway sorry that Saruhiko is shaped like a normal person and not some weird curvy girl from their shitty gross videos. That makes everyone laugh more and Chitose is like you poor guy, you have nothing to grab on your boyfriend but skin and bones. Yata grumbles that Saruhiko has plenty to grab thanks and Bandou is like where, his hip bones. Yata gets so annoyed that he’s like shut up Saruhiko’s plenty big where it counts anyway. Everyone immediately goes quiet and gives him a look, and of course it’s just this moment that Anna comes downstairs and looks at him curiously. Yata swallows hard and stutters out that uh, his, um, his heart is big, and the Homra guys are like come on even you don’t believe that, Yata’s like wait his brain I meant his brain, his brain is big.

How do you think saru (any sex) would react to an alpha Misaki going through rut and trying to get him pregnant.

So then one day Yata isn’t feeling well and stays home while Fushimi reluctantly goes to Homra to talk with Kusanagi about some issue he was helping out with. While Fushimi is gone Yata just keeps feeling warmer and warmer, pooling right below his belly, and dimly he realizes that ‘oh, it’s a rut.’ He’s suddenly hyper aware of how much the room smells like Saruhiko, like he never quite noticed it before but suddenly there’s this tempting omega smell everywhere. The idea of Fushimi going to Homra, where other alphas are, makes Yata growl low in his throat because this smell is everywhere so that omega is his, that’s his mate who he wants to breed and if it wasn’t so hot Yata would go find Fushimi and drag him home, pin him down and breed him like every instinct in his body is screaming to do.

Yata’s so hot that he has to take his clothes off and imagine he’s got like Fushimi’s pillow or a piece of laundry between his teeth, smelling it as he touches himself and it’s not enough, he needs Fushimi right now. Fushimi’s taking heat suppressants and probably some kind of birth control so he knows he won’t get pregnant but somewhere he’s probably dimly thinking that they shouldn’t go this far anyway, it’s not like Yata will still want him when Yata’s in his normal mind. But he’s so desperate to have Yata’s attention that Fushimi allows it anyway, just letting Yata bite him and hold him down and Yata’s in such a haze that he keeps talking about how he wants to breed Fushimi, get Fushimi pregnant with so many pups, and Fushimi just tells him that’s fine, keep going. Yata probably doesn’t even know what he’s saying and part of Fushimi is like rut usually lasts a few days and if I don’t take my pills for the next few days either and would Yata stay then, if Fushimi actually got pregnant (and then he remembers Niki and an empty house and rejects it — but it’s so tempting, to be Yata’s mate who Yata can’t ever leave, to drown in Yata’s passionate words and rough hands, and to pretend that it won’t just go back to something that’s started to break the moment the rut is through).

Are we talking like natural long tongue or Strain-created long tongue? I’m going to assume Strain for extra weirdness. Like imagine Yata and Fushimi are dating and living together and one day when Yata comes home from his part time job he’s very weirdly quiet. Like usually when Yata gets home and finds Fushimi working he grabs the computer and orders Fushimi to take a break while Yata makes dinner and there are going to be vegetables in it that you had better eat. This time though he just nods and smiles at Fushimi and points to the kitchen, Fushimi is working but raises an eyebrow because this isn’t like Misaki. Yata sees his look and just mutters ‘sore throat, ‘s fine’ and hurries to the kitchen. Fushimi is suspicious though and imagine him finishing up his work and then very quietly setting his laptop to the side, peering into the kitchen just in time to see Yata’s long tongue taking a taste of the soup he’s making.

Fushimi immediately starts laughing because how ridiculous does Yata look, Yata’s all shut up it’s not funny. His speech is all garbled because it’s hard to get all that tongue in his mouth and Fushimi idly says he had heard there was a Strain running around with some kind of tongue power. Yata grumbles that it’s really a pain, he bought a cola on the way home and it was super hard to drink because his tongue just kept wrapping around the bottle. Fushimi gets a long suffering look as he says this kind of power is really wasted on a virgin like Yata and Yata’s all you know we talked about not calling me a virgin anymore since we’ve already — wait what does me being a virgin have to do with my tongue. Fushimi just shrugs and says Misaki never does know what to do with his tongue and Yata’s like that’s not what you said last night. Mama and Papa Yata watch MS Sarumi go on first date (it’s not a date)

Aw, imagine Yata-mama and Yata’s stepdad looking on proudly as their son goes on his first date and Yata keeps getting flustered because it’s not a date he and his coolest most amazing best friend Saruhiko are just going out somewhere together. Like obviously they hang out a lot regularly but maybe this is some kind of ‘big’ event, something like Yata learns that Fushimi’s never been to the beach and convinces his mom to let Yata go all by himself with Fushimi rather than the whole family coming along. The idea is the two of them will make a whole day of it, they can take the train to the beach and bring along a packed lunch, take the train home and maybe stop for dinner along the way and then Fushimi will sleep over when they get back to Yata’s place. Yata’s mom can’t believe her little boy is getting so big, planning his first ever date, and Yata just looks at her blankly like it’s not a date we’re both guys and anyway Saruhiko is just my friend (the greatest coolest most amazing kind of handsome guy that Yata’s ever met, but he doesn’t have a crush or anything). Yata’s mom is like of course honey and gets to work helping her son prepare for his date.

Imagine at first the whole ‘Misaki is going on a date’ thing actually did start as lightly teasing but the more Yata’s parents see how focused he is on making this the best time ever for Fushimi the more they realize their son has a total crush. Even the Yata siblings feel it, imagine Yata’s allowed to take this old picnic basket out of the closet and Minoru walks by as Yata’s grabbing it and asks if that’s for ‘big brother’s date with Saru.’ Yata yells at him that this isn’t a date and Minoru just shrugs like mama said it was a date. Yata rolls his eyes at his mom, all annoyed because come on mom this is not a date, Yata’s mom gives this secretive smile as she’s like of course honey and offers to help him make a nice picnic lunch to share with Fushimi. Yata can’t believe his family is being this embarrassing, he’s just hanging out with Saruhiko and okay maybe he’s a little excited — well, a lot excited, because he’s gonna get to spend all day with Saruhiko, just the two of them — but it is not a date. On the day of both Yata’s mom and stepdad are there to see him off, Yata’s mom is even feeling a little misty because her baby is going on his first date and she has to take pictures. Yata continues to state that it isn’t a date and they’re embarrassing him. (Then post-ROK he and Fushimi are visiting Yata’s parents and they find the picture in a photo album, titled ‘Misaki’s first date with Saruhiko.’ Yata groans and  Fushimi looks at him all calmly like ‘that was our first date?’, Yata sighs and is like okay I guess it was.)

The cat which is definitely not named Misaki and definitely not used to being drunkenly kissed and cuddled and generally sobbed over XD Imagine Fushimi with this very stupid friendly orange cat which he claims won’t leave him alone and so he had to adopt it because otherwise it would never stop bothering him. Of course everyone knows that Fushimi really dotes on his cat, he’s always complaining that aren’t cats supposed to be aloof and independent so why does this thing cling to him all the time (and meanwhile he refuses to get up if the cat is in his lap, unless it’s a major emergency and even then it’s a toss up). The cat is always giving Fushimi affection but Fushimi mostly just gives it the occasional pet or toy, trying his best to act like this isn’t a pet it’s just an annoying creature he shares living space with.

Then one morning he wakes up with a hangover and a cat on his chest and Fushimi blinks all groggily, trying to remember what happened last night and why does his cat look pinker than normal. Fushimi remembers he was off duty the night before — because he still has some lipstick on, and he only wears that on days off — and he remembers going to a bar in a bad mood and having a few drinks. The cat keeps insistently nuzzling him and Fushimi has no idea why this thing is even more affectionate than usual and also what’s up with all those weird pink marks. Imagine him at first thinking the cat might have been injured and he’s trying to convince himself that he’s not concerned as he carefully starts checking the cat’s fur. He comes upon one suspiciously lip-shaped mark and suddenly he remembers it, drunkenly stumbling home and cooing over what a cutey baby precious sweetie his cat is. Fushimi’s face gets all red and he could swear the cat is looking at him smugly as Fushimi grumbles don’t look at me like that, it’s bath time for you.
