Well, the day has arrived, or will be arriving shortly where I along with many others will be removed from Tumblr. I am of course talking about the 17th, the date which Tumblr has vowed to purge itself of nudity.

Am I upset? Yes, for several reasons. One, this has been a haven for many of us in the BDSM community to share ideals, information, and imagery without judgement. The more important reason however, is I am an artist whose work frequently involves nudity in a non-sexualized fashion... But because Tumblr has stated to remove content that feature genitals or nipples, Tumblr will no longer be of use to me in that medium either.

Way to go Tumblr, you were the last corner of the internet where anybody could do anything and find like-minded people, and you've gone and fucked that up.

What You Don’t Know About Brats

Brats are a role in BDSM that are often hell-bent on driving you mental. They will push every button you have, just to get a reaction out of you. Lately I’ve seen this regarded as a bad thing, and I’m going to explain why it isn’t.

The first thing people misconstrue is what bratting is. Bratting is NOT acting out to cause distrust or hurt. Bratting is NOT an act of sadism. In my opinion, bratting is extremely useful to a Dominant. It keeps us on our toes, it let’s us see when we’re maybe not paying enough attention to someone. If you’re of a particularly sadistic nature, bratting gives you an excuse to punish and have that sadistic outlet.
