Yuki: Fictional Worlds and Hidden Stories
Yuki’s art spans from graphic design to illustration to sculptures. Her large body of work is filled with rich colors, dramatic scenes, and intricate patterns. She uses her art to share “her fictional worlds and hidden stories” which are composed of a large cast of characters and backdrops. Inspired to paint by “terms of broad culture, patterns of the nature, and creatures”, her works do not see any limits in terms of subjects and themes ensuring that there is something for every viewer to enjoy.
Live painting appeals to Yuki because of the energy exchange between the artists. “To get powerful energy from other artists!” she exclaims when discussing the many positive aspects of live painting within a space such as Satisfactory Factory. This installment of the event will feature three-dimensional cubes for the artists to paint on; such a setup will increase artist interaction through proximity and energy exchange. “I’m very happy to be a part of Satisfactory Factory event and I will enjoy the moment of the live painting with other artists, music and other visual arts. It would be my pleasure if audience enjoy my live painting and it lead to memorable event.” There are no doubts that such hopes will be materialized.
Aside from painting, Yuki spends her time “making masks” and listening to a variety of “electronic music and remixes”. These other artistic outlets combined with a love for “traditional and tribal art” fuse together to fuel her brainstorming processes and the resulting artworks. In the near future Yuki will take on illustrations for skateboards and “scientific art objects”. The artist very rarely rests or finds a point of stagnancy with her creativity. Some of this can be attributed to the energy of Berlin. “I find this cosmopolitan city is very characteristic and has well-mixed culture. I believe we still have lots of freedom to expand art in Berlin. It stimulates creativity and broadens my visions.” And September 27th will surely present another opportunity for Yuki to share her stories with a new crowd in Berlin and broaden the visions of all involved.
