You did? [looks a little surprised and glances over at Stefan, nodding in understanding] Yes, he can be. [answers quietly and elbows his cousin some] Just don’t get hurt, please. Especially not for my sake. [flicks some ashes onto the grass and smiles] I think you and I are more alike than I anticipated. And we’re certainly uh, closer than I’d imagined we would be. [looks back over to him hoping Stefan understood]

Of course I did. I went there immediately when you didn't return my calls and texts. [he says, a bit surprised that he asked] I can take care of myself Daniel. And I know what I'm doing. [chuckles lightly] At least I hope so. I think I found a way to get under his skin to make him admit that he cares about me. [licks his lips and brings the cigarette to them, inhaling once again] Yeah I think so too, we are blood after all. [chuckles]

[nods his head in agreement] It really has. [rubs his stomach again at the memory] Niklaus managed to nearly kill me twice. I feel like it’s a new personal record. [takes the pack and pulls out a cigarette, taking the lighter as well and bringing the cigarette to his lips] Don’t tell your siblings but you might be my favorite. [chuckles as he exhales]

Yeah, I talked to him about that...[furrows his eyebrows as he remembers what happened] Or at least I tried to. Klaus can be very...distracting. [chuckles, hoping that he'll understand what he wants to say] Oh really? And why is that? [he laughs, lighting his own cigarette and bringing it to his lips] Don't worry, your secret is safe with me.

[raises an eyebrow at him and chuckles] And what has you all worked up? [thinks for a moment before holding his hand out to Stefan] I suppose you could let your favorite cousin bum a cigarette, yes? [grins at him]

[shrugs, finishing his cigarette and throwing it on the ground before stepping it with his foot.] Nothing really. A lot has happened in the past couple of weeks and I just wanted to smoke a cigarette. It's a great way to sort out your thoughts. [takes out the pack from his pocket and takes another one, before giving the pack to Daniel] Of course I can. What kind of a cousin do you think I am? [jokes]

That’s a terrible habit, Stefan. [smirks as he approaches the man, giving him a look before joining him on the bench. Glances over him after he’s sat down for a moment] And what led to you smoking on a park bench in the middle of the afternoon?

You know what else is a terrible habit? [slightly tilts his head as he looked at Klaus, moving away the cigarette from his lips and exhaling] Killing people. So this, [looks at the cigarette] is better than that. [glances at him before looking away and focusing on a tree in front of them] Nothing special. I just wanted to. [shrugs]

[sits next to him without a word and folds his arms over his chest, stretching his legs out in front of him. remains silent for a moment before finally speaking up] Since when do you smoke, cousin?

[exhales slowly, making tiny circles out of the smoke and smirks when Daniel sits next to him.] Hello to you too cousin. [brings the cigarette back to his mouth, inhaling deeply and taking a moment before answering his question] Since I found out that it helps calm me down.

[sits on a bench taking out a pack of cigarettes and lighting a one bringing it to his lips and inhaling. He crosses his legs at his ankles and spreads his free hand across the bench]

Why does she need your help? [furrows his eyebrows, taking a step closer] Just be sure to let her know that I don’t like sharing.

She wants revenge, I believe that’s something I’m rather well versed in. [smirks] You don’t like sharing? [takes a step forward, putting them right in front of each other] Well, I suppose it’s a good thing that you don’t leave something to be desired. [looks over him for a moment before taking that last step, bringing a hand up to his neck to pull Stefan to him as he kissed him]

Let me guess...does this have anything to do with a certain doe eyed brunette named Katherine Pierce?[before he has a chance to say anything else, Klaus' lips are on his and he kisses him back hungrily, bringing his hands to the collar of his shirt, pulling him closer]

Is that so? [smirks, looking down to his phone] Jenny Humphrey. She won me in that auction. She’s asked for my help, actually.

Oh you Salvatores, so dramatic. [smirks before walking away from Stefan just after he gets closer to him] You would choose him over me? [walks over to his dresser, grabbing his phone off of it] I’m hurt, really. [turns to face him again] Have you decided to extend out that unbreakable Salvatore bond, or has a one time thing turned into something else? [raises an eyebrow] He’s already been saved here, Stefan. Someone else beat you to the role of the hero, I’m afraid.

Wouldn't you? Family above all Nik. [tilts his head to the side a bit] You maybe be someone important to me but he's blood. [scoffs, ignoring his next words] I'm not trying to be a hero. I stopped being that a long time ago.

I merely reminded him of who’s still in control here. [shrugs] No permanent harm was done. [raises an eyebrow] Please don’t tell me you weren’t aware of that, Stefan. I know you’re not that oblivious.

Klaus he's my family. If you've done something to him...[sighs, rubbing his forehead with his right hand] Don't think for even a second that I wouldn't choose him over you. Now stop messing around and just tell me...please. [gives him a pleading look, getting closer]

He isn’t dead if that’s what you’re worried about. [takes a few steps forward, casually looking at himself in the mirror before turning back to Stefan] I imagine he’s spent most of his time with his vampire hunter boyfriend, actually. You should be more worried about him managing to kill Demetrio than me.

What did you do?[crossing his arms and walking to him and standing behind him at the mirror] Vampire hunter boyfriend?[furrows his eyebrows taking a moment to figure out who he's talking about] Jeremy?

Yeah, good luck with that. [scoffs again moving a few steps away] Nik....[starts, licking his lips and looking away before continuing] Just tell me what happened. He hasn't been home in two days and he's not answering his phone and I'm worried.

[is in his room pulling his shirt on when he hears someone come inside his house. Not feeling too concerned with who it is, he remains in his room and goes to grab a jacket. As he’s pulling it on he senses someone behind him. Slowly turns at the sound of Stefan’s voice] Do we? [raises an eyebrow] Talk away then. But try to make it quick, yes? I do have somewhere to be.

Getting ready for your date?[scoffs pushing himself off and walking over to him] And yes, we do. [looks at him, his tone serious] What did you do to Daniel?

[huffs putting his phone into his pocket and walling to the front door of Klaus's house not even bothering to knock. He goes straight in, and when he sees that there's no one in the living room he goes upstairs, eventually finding Klaus in his room] We need to talk. [he says leaning against the door frame and crossing his arms over his chest and his legs at his anckles]
