âKuroshitsuji: Book of Atlanticâ Trailer
Black Butler characters disguising themselves:
Sebastian: *Brushes hair backwards* Ay, lmao. Who is Sebastian?
Ciel: *Cross dresses into a girl* I'm going to murder everyone.
Claude: *Puts a hat on* I'm not a demon.
Grell: *Is actually disguised pretty well as a clumsy Butler who goofs everything up*
William: Hello, I am a Grim Reaper. You're going to die soon.
REBLOG IF ITS OKAY TO TALK TO YOU.
Please.
Will the reaper, a look into Grellâs life before becoming a reaper
I watched Will the reaper last night with my best friend and found the amount we learn about Grell in this is actually WAY more than I thought at first. So I really wanted to go over my thoughts here now that Iâve slept on it and alike.
Here we go
Ships aside (I actually dislike Willgrell personally or gerlliam or w/e) I think when we watched their interactions we learned a lot more about Grell and her past then most ppl caught on at first.
First the majority of the OVA Grell is ruthless, cold hearted, mean and pushy with William, treating him as if her A grade makes her a better reaper despite her low grade in everything else.
This tells us a few things, either that Grell came from a high standing family in society OR more likely Grell came from a Military family.
Personally knowing people who come from families with heavy ties to the military I think this is a way more likely possibility given a few things.
Grell doesn't seem to be from typical nobility, sheâs not as helpless as earlâs like Ciel shes VERY physically capable as proven by her VERY deadly and powerful skills in battle but this also explains her other grades of a B in written and a C in phycological.
Coming from a military family, especially if youâre the only child Grell would most likely be groomed for military duty from a very young age, this would put a tremendous amount of pressure on her mentally hence the same grade as Will in theory but the C in physiological. Grell had a VERY hard life for some reason, SOMETHING made her mentally like this and her theatrical side could be how she attempted to break away from this âgrooming for warâ life she may have grown up in.
This could also explain Grellâs brutal side, the side her family forced into her from a young age for war, for a military role. Her theatrical side was her own personal interests, he own unique wants for her life that we can assume her family did not QUITE approve of.
Something else I feel is worth talking about is how Grell handled the writer guy they were sent to reap.Â
Despite Grellâs appreciation for the arts she was very quick to want this poor novel guy dead. I believe Grell was so quick to judge him due to her past of her own artistic interested being so violently dashed in her own life for so long is reflected in how she views interests in the arts in others initially.Â
Initially
Because once he made comments that encouraged Grell even slightly she became INCREDIBLY excited and showed off quite a bit. MAYBE bc no one else ahs ever encouraged herrrrrr?!?!?!?!
So now letâs talk about That fight between Grell and William.
And Grellâs reaction to it.
I think itâs very safe to say the Grell has never actually lost a fight but that's just touching the surface here.
Grell said while getting her butt kicked âwhat is this sensation?â and mistook her own masochistic arousal as love.
This is huge because this is pretty clear indication that Grell has never experience ACTUAL romantic love before. Grellâs probably only ever experienced physical pleasure and even THEN not much and certainly not enough to make him unable to distinguish it from an emotion like love.
Anyway, these were jsut my own thoughts on what I saw. I hope you all at least found this interesting.
âWhy would you say something like that?â he asked, the demonâs eyes finally leaving his mark as the man sat at the bar so that he could shift his attention back to the reaper.
âAll these humans lead such boring and played-out lives. Theyâre the opposite of distracting, you could say,â
Sebastian reached a hand out and stopped the bartender before he reached the man to take his order and said, pointing to his mark, âThat man could use a very fine drink. Please give him this. Tell him itâs a house giveaway,â
Sebastian gave the man a small bottle and sent him on his way down the bar, where the demonâs mark became giddy at the prospect of free top-shelf booze.
âIt is such a bore, the human world. I lost interest in it long agoâ Grell commented rather bluntly once the bartender left to give the man the bottle Sebastian had given him, not wanting to be heard despite how quietly she was already speaking. âIt is only decent when actually being a human, when unaware of just how mundane everything truly is.â
As she took another sip of her wine, a figure came into her peripheral vision, the redhead glancing to her side to see a man with a nearly empty glass in hand smirking at her. Normally, all attention was good attention for the flirtatious woman, but now it was just a nuisance.
He parted his lips to speak, but she cut him off quickly, her tone of voice harsh and clearly showing her annoyance. âAs I said an hour ago, and when I first arrived, I am not interested, and no amount of alcohol I drink will convince me otherwise. Now leave.â Grell turned in her seat so her back was to him and she now faced Sebastian, glaring down at the ground. She visibly tensed a bit when the man walked off mumbling insults towards her, but did nothing more than that, letting out an exasperated sigh.Â
The demon's eyes followed the bottle as it went from the bartender to the man it was intended for. It was clear that the man had already overindulged when he fumbled thr bottle open and greedily gulped half of it down. A mere sip would have done it. It was no matter to Sebastian, nobody would be able to tell the difference between excessive drunkeness and what had happened to that man until it was far too late.
"I've found that most beings, human, demon, reaper, or any others, are agonizingly boring. The trick to living," he said, pausing to down his drink, "Is finding the interesting ones."
Shadows of Neverland || Sebastian and Rumple
âDo you treat everyone who comes here like this?â he asked the boys as they walked.
âOf course,â one of the boys responded as if it wasnât such a bad greeting that they were surrounding Rumple and Sebastian with sharp, poison-coated sticks. Â âBut donât worry, youâll be treated well as long as you donât cause any trouble.â
Rumple remained quiet. Â It wasnât as if the boys were all that threatening. Â All he was interested in was arriving at the camp and finding Bae and Ciel, hopefully without alerting his father that he was here.
"I don't think anybody *wants* trouble," he said, content to just follow them along since they weren't actually attacking.
After a few moments, Sebastian asked, "Do you get a lot of trouble here?"
A note on cosplaying and, perhaps, a farewell. As some may recall, I cosplayed Sebby at Connecticon this July when I went with @redchainsawreaper. There, we ran into this Ciel, and we just *had* to take this picture. It was one of many I took with various Black Butler cosplayers that weekend. Tonight, at a bar, I was out as Sebby again and I ran into this Ciel's mom, who noted who I was dressed as. A few minutes of talking later, we figured out that myself and her daughter had met and taken pictures at Connecticon. She went on to tell me how her daughter, the Ciel cosplayer, went on for weeks and weeks about how taking this picture made her con experience. I have never felt so honored to be that person in the fandom to make someone else'e experience. To those of you who are considering cosplaying and are on the fence, I urge you to go for it. You never know whose day you might make! ... ... ... Also, as you all know, my activity has been spotty at best over the last six months, but I am finally, probably a bit late, declaring a hiatus on Sebby. With university and work being what they are, I simply do not have time to keep up at this point. I hope to pick up again in December.
Shadows of Neverland || Sebastian and Rumple
âTake us there, then,â Sebastian said nonchalantly. He was truly unconcerned about the wooden spears of children, even if they appeared to have a more⊠unfriendly substance on their spikes. Whatâs more, there was a chance that they would just lead him directly to his young master. If they didnât do that, he could at least learn more about this place, and maybe begin to find a way for the Earl and the butler to escape once they had been reunited.
âThis way,â one of the boys said, gesturing for them to follow. Â Rumple didnât like the way that they all remained in a circle around him and Sebastian though. Â They were going with them willingly, so there wasnât any need to treat them like they were prisoners. Â His lips twitched down in a frown as he started walking.
This was the best plan though, and was the reason why he wasnât showing any signs that he wasnât the young child he appeared to be. Â The Lost Boys were likely to lead them straight to where Bae and Ciel were.
âDo you treat everyone who comes here like this?â he asked the boys as they walked.
You need to rest
âWhy would I need to rest?â Grell said, even though she knew the answer perfectly well. âWe should take advantage of this time we have together, Sebby.â
@thesebastianaesthetic
âYou know that when weâre alone itâs never just âa little kissâ,â
The pout stayed on Grellâs face, even though she knew that Sebastian was right. She hadnât intended for this kiss to be just a little kiss, just like all the other times she kissed him. âThat still doesnât mean you had to stop me.â
The demonâs eyebrows raised impatiently, âThatâs exactly what it meant,â
Contracts and Babies || Sebastian and Grell
Williamâs eyes narrowed dangerously as he listened to the story. He didnât care for Sebastian in the slightest, and he wasnât very optimistic about his child with Grell either. But there were limits. He would never think to attack a woman while they were pregnant, he would never think to attack a child, no matter what. âOnce we get you patched up Grell, I would like to hear every detail you can remember, and I will deal with Mister Culper personally.âÂ
@thesebastianaesthetic
âWilliam,â he started, his voice trailing off a little as he scanned the range of faces around them, âIs he here now? Just nod in a directionâ I need to know what he looks like,â Even though William was helping them now, Sebastian had no confidence that he would follow through with Culperâs punishment, at least not to the degree that the demon had in mind. Whatâs more, should Culper make a getaway, heâd need to know exactly who to watch out for. @redchainsawreaper
Grell wanted to look around herself to see if Ellis was one of the reapers who were probably staring at them as they made their way down the hall, but she knew that trying to do that would only make her side hurt worse, and it already hurt bad enough when she didnât try to move in Sebastianâs arms. So she kept her face buried against him. Even if Ellis was here, would he really try something now with both Sebastian and William with her?
She considered saying something more to William too, to share some more details of what had happened, but she didnât really feel like it at the moment. And William had said after sheâd been patched up. So that could wait.
@williamtshakespears
William easily cast his eyes about, landing on every reaper he could see before returning straight ahead to his path. âHeâs not here. If he is back at Dispatch, heâs in another section. Or more likely, heâs still out in the field. Iâll send word to Ronald, Eric, and Alan to keep an eye out for him.â If there was one thing he hated more than demons, it was reapers turning on their own. No, he never particularly liked Grell, but there was still a connection there, due to heritage and similar beginnings. That, and he knew Jelena would harp on him until the end of eternity if he didnât help her sister.
They soon reached the medical ward, William ordering nurses to tend to Grell and get a doctor. They were hesitant at first because of Sebastian, but Williamâs glare and barking orders quickly got them over their fear.Â
@thesebastianaesthetic
It wasnât long before a couple of the nurses came over with a stretcher, and Sebastian gently laid Grell down on it so that she could be rushed off for treatment. He knew at this point that the most he could do was stay out of everyoneâs way and wait-- the situation was far too tenuous for him to take off and begin investigating on his own, and he didnât trust that this Culper wouldnât still try to show up. A sense of helplessness overtook the demon, but he managed to not let it show; he could not let it show. @redchainsawreaper @williamtshakespears
Double Date
âIt seems like it will be quite the occasion,â Sebastian remarked, âIf youâd really like to see Romeo & Juliet, then we can later on,â @williamtshakespears
Jelena thought this was going wonderfully well. No physical fight had broken out, so sheâd call this a win!
âI personally think The Phantom of the Opera is a better play to watch with a partner. Christine and Raoul have a much better relationship than Romeo and Juliet did.âÂ
âOh, I love Phantom of the Opera!â
@redchainsawreaper
âIâve never seen that one,â Grell said, although the plays she was most familiar with were Shakespeare, so that wasnât too surprising. She didnât always pay much attention to other plays. Not that she didnât enjoy those too, she just had her favorites.
@thesebastianaesthetic
âI have not had the opportunity to see it myself either, though any play that partners enjoy separately can be appreciated together,â @williamtshakespears
Contracts and Babies || Sebastian and Grell
William was trying to deliver paperwork around the office to the juniors, when a portal interrupted his route. Portals were a common-enough occurrence in the Dispatch. It was what came out of the portal that stopped him. âWhat the h-â He didnât get a chance to ask his question when he noticed Grellâs current state. He sighed heavily. âFollow me to the medical ward. You can explain what happened on the way there.â He turned and started down the halls. Other reapers were whispering and murmuring as they passed through, only to be immediately hushed by Williamâs harsh glare.
@thesebastianaesthetic
Sebastian felt his own tension lift ever so slightly at Williamâs reaction to their presenceâ he had not expected it to be so nonviolent. Still carrying Grell, he followed William as he walked, being careful to keep close, âI wasnât able to get much, but she was attacked on her shift, apparently by another reaper,â he said lowly just so William could hear. He still didnât know who was behind the attack; nor if any of the person(s) were around at the moment. @redchainsawreaper
Grell shifted slightly in Sebastianâs arms at the sound of Williamâs voice, but decided that was a bad idea when pain rushed along her side at the movement. It hurt so much that it was difficult to think about much else. But she did listen to what they were saying. âIt was Ellis Culper,â she mumbled. âHe attacked me, he wants to kill the baby.â

@thesebastianaesthetic
Still thoroughly unamused, the former butler put his hand out and stopped Grellâs advance by placing it on her forehead.
âYou wonât even let me kiss you?â Grell pouted a little, annoyed that Sebastian had stopped her. âWhatâs the harm in a little kiss, Sebby?â
âYou know that when weâre alone itâs never just âa little kissâ,â
Contracts and Babies || Sebastian and Grell
âOf course I can,â he said, ripping his overcoat apart and wrapping it tightly around Grell as to keep pressure on the wound. Once that was done, he picked her up, and walked through the portal. He knew that it was dangerous for him to just walk into the world of the reapers, especially now that at least one of them was out to get them, but he had little choice and was sure he could take whichever of them was behind the attack.
Grell clung to Sebastian as he carried her through the portal into the reaper realm. She hoped that none of the other reapers would put up a fuse about him bringing her here. Even if he was a demon it wasnât like he was going to cause any trouble. They should hopefully be more concerned that another reaper had cut her side open with a death scythe. Burying her face against him, Grell decided to not worry about how theyâd react to Sebastian unless it became a problem.

Contracts and Babies || Sebastian and Grell
âI know,â he said, not letting up on the pressure. He took a mental stock of the supplies they had on-hand. It might have been possible for Sebastian to treat the wound, but there was no certainty, Besides, even with his general proficiency at, well, everything, he had no idea on how to check on the baby. âCan you manage to make a portal to your realm? Your best chance at treatment is there,â
Creating a portal really wasnât something Grell felt like doing at the moment. It had been all she could manage to create the portal that had brought her here. But even if she didnât feel like it, Grell realized that Sebastian was right. Other reapers were more equipped to treat death scythe wounds than Sebastian would be, even if she was sure heâd still do a good job.
âYes, I think so,â she said. Not bothering to move just yet, she created a portal right in front of them. âCan you help me through it, Sebby? It hurts too much to moveâŠâ
âOf course I can,â he said, ripping his overcoat apart and wrapping it tightly around Grell as to keep pressure on the wound. Once that was done, he picked her up, and walked through the portal. Shadows of Neverland || Sebastian and Rumple
Sebastian turned and went back-to-back with Rumple, ensuring that all of the children were visible, at least between the two of them. He also tensed, bending his knees slightly which enabled him to be ready to pounce or flee at a secondâs notice. âYes,â he said, agreeing with Rumple, âThe welcomes that Iâm used to dealing with normally arenât so very armed,â
âOh these?â Â The boy glanced at the weapon with a shrug. Â âNeverland is a dangerous place. Â It isnât safe to wander without them.â
âYeah that still doesnât make me feel very welcome,â Rumple said. Â There were several more things he wanted to say but he held back, had decided that it would be best for these boys to think that he and Sebastian were just two more boys that had been brought to this island. Â Heâd play the part for as long as he could, or at least as long as he felt like.
âWeâve come to take you to our camp,â another one of the boys said.
