How would you think Sal would react to getting beat up by a certain orca? I wouldn't think he'd be used to losing

According to that one commission he was kinda into it... He's a sore loser yeah but getting beaten up by an orca would be so wild that it would circle back to entertaining him

the way u refered to the different ways sal presents himself in the analysis made me remember of how ppl with did talk abt their disorder. what do u think of the possibility of did sal? (i did not investigate this so uh srry if this is stereotypical or offensive)

I did also make a DID connection when I noticed it! I just didn't mention it with this name because it would be a pretty simplistic stereotypical portrayal of DID and it's definitely not intended to be that. I didn't feel like playing psychologist and diagnosing a character with things I don't have myself. I personally can see him having alters and dissociating and all of that but there's no actual proof of this so I gotta stay objective!

Butttt, actually, DID Sal is kinda canon! His profile in the School AU seems to imply he switches between his Red and Blue self like alternate personalities.

I mean, it's meant to be just a classic "good personality vs evil personality" trope, but it counts. Funa has another character that also does the blue vs red eyes thing and she canonically has DID sooo...

Ignoring the awfulness of real DID, I find it extremely funny that his mom is still alive here but absent after she left Old so what created the "Sal" personality in this universe was The Divorce.

I assume Sal would move there but I can't see Samekichi leaving Wadda permanently so he would be taking turns between the two homes. There's a considerable distance between the two so he would do a lot of exercise going back and forth...

If you made Sal set a foot into The Trauma Island and The Repressed Childhood House he would probably not have a good time. Coupled with the fact he has been stripped from what made him feel safe (being in a place he doesn't care about and playing the villain) and that he's alone now... A very not good time. Everytime he says something vulnerable you see his HP bar going down.

Also he would probably grow dependent on Samekichi but I don't know if we are ready to have this conversation

Like in Normal End 1, if Sal ended up alone in a place that tormented him, he would confide in Samekichi to vent. Since this Samekichi would not be a ragdoll, he would also rely on Samekichi to comfort him. Those days where Samekichi is in his other home he would miss him a lot (much to his dismay) and he would push him to stay a bit more when he's in their home. In a cool nonchalant way of course.

The reason I didn't want to have this conversation is because I am convinced Sal "falls in love with a girl because she's kinda nice to him" Syakesan can and would get obsessed with Samekichi the same way he did for Wadanohara, and we know why that's a scary idea to talk about in Tumblr dot com. But I dunno, I don't think a seriously mentally ill man forcing a romance with his brother out of desperation because literally no one else loves him is anything far-fetched and insane to consider. Specifically not here like... Come on, it's Okegom.

Because Samekichi's approach is more "he is so tormented... but he did everything wrong and i do not want to erase that..." while mine is "he is so cunty he did nothing wrong lalalala"

just finished the analysis and i didn't agree in some points but it was sooo good. there was a lot of things i didn' consider and the jokes made it easier to follow. i will one day have it tattoed on my entire body and will get body extensions if i have to for the whole thing. besitos en el asterisco

Might be! I mention in it how he is almost friendly to them which I think is just how he normally is but I can see it being an intentional mockery to annoy them.

Then again I am firm believer that how he behaved before is still accurate to his true personality sooo....

My memory of it is a bit hazy but it was between 2016 and 2017. I was one of those youngings who spent a lot of time on YouTube watching gameplays of games no matter their age rating. By a youtuber I liked at the time I discovered Mogeko Castle and, being the weirdo that I am, I LOVED it. I started watching other gameplays of it until one of them mentioned the creator's other games. She had played them so I checked them out and uuh yeah, here we are!

I always mourn the personal first time experience I never had because I wasn't a computer gamer back then... It won't happen ever again! I play everything by myself now!

Meikai is a lovely man with a gorgeous wife who does not deserve a petty inmature chopped guy like Old, so I can't say I care about seeing him dwell in regrets for fumbling Meikai. You did fuck up! Feel bad!

Also, Oldtatsu and Oldkaze interest me leagues more than Oldkai. Feeling remorse for women you've hurt even when you're not attracted to them would be more redeeming than just, remorse for the gay love interest you whine about constantly. I would have taken damage if they were in the art, but alas...

In a perfect world it's not an Old art to begin with and instead it's about the twins regretting what happened between them. Thank you for the sperm that created them, Old, but you can retire now and let the real yearners take over.

Not the same anon but related to the previous post, I find it ridiculous how massive of a double standard there is between Idate and Sal. Not to say what Sal's done to Wadda isn't bad, it absolutely is. BUT. Idate has harmed a lot more people (IN A SEXUAL WAY I'm not denying Sal had the involvement in the death of a bunch of sea denizens) like Rocma and Shirogane (Possibly more if I read the wiki page correctly..??) Idate just beats and assaults people for the hell of it and everyone seems to just brush it off....? Just something I've noticed haha okay I leave

It's basically that Idate's abuse is treated as a casual gag and left ungrapphic while Sal's abuse gets an actual serious grapphic scene and Idate's victim is a "hot waifu" we goon to while Sal's victim is cute baby we must protect. One's actions are treated seriously with weight while the other's aren't. Guess which one is a complex interesting character and which one is a cardboard cutout without anything meaningful about him.
