going through some of my old works always makes me smile. what was i in such a funky, feisty mood for? so much angst in a relatively peaceful time of my life.
but lately i've been wanting to pave the way to the light with ink, to let my pen point forward for once.
i find that the older i get, the more terrible the world becomes, and the less i want to add to its misery. this is not to say i won't write about the loss, because there is so much of it, but maybe writing about the light there's so little of won't hurt.
āFOLLOW YOUR PASSIONā IS MEDYO MISLEADING
Kasing yaman ni Xian Gaza ( wait, what?!
Minsan kasi masyadong misleading yung āFollow your passionā na yan eh. Like, agad-agad? And you cannot short circuit success by just passion alone.
We should not romanticize passion like āit is everythingā. āCoz ladies and gentlemen, we are more than just our passion.
Na magsisisi ka for the rest of your life kapag hindi mo sinunod ang.. tandadadannnn. ang passion mo. Thereās more to life than your passion.
Iāve been working here in Qatar for almost 3 years. ( Wow, English.) And seeing my pamili happy, ohmaygad, my pamiliā¦for me, uhm wait.. i told you that i was, seeing my pamili happy is already a sucesss. Bale, yung punto ko dito, kung happiness lang ang rason mo, there are almost 1,000 reasons to be happy na hindi involve yung sinasabi mong passion. Change the way you see things. Change your perspective about life.
Itās not just about doing what you love. Itās not just about passion. Itās learning to love what you do at pahalagahan ang bawat opurtunidad na dumadating saāyo gaano man ito kaliit o kalaki.
Follow your purpose, not just your passion. Alamin mo yung pinakamalalalim na rason ng existence mo dito sa mundo and from that you will find the success that you really deserve na hindi matutumbasan ng kahit anong materyal na bagay.

Hi bes, may page din ako oh. Link here.
{ Motherless child, where is your honor? Pick up your bones and reassemble; the muscles, god, theyre decaying just glue them on and pump in blood and keep moving - stop trembling; the trees can hear you rasp but they're rooted to the ground and they're consumed by the night and really, why would they care? they say you did this to yourself. good, yes, brush the sand off your lungs and stuff it in, lock it inside your ribs. is it working? breathe. cough out the impurities. okay, now slowly don your skin, your battle armor, hear it snap tight against your muscles. pop in your eyes. steal a bit of moonlight. wonderful. now smile. wait, fuck, where did you put your heart? nevermind, nevermind. you wont need that here, anyway. }
My heart could fly - but it could not navigate. It escaped from its cage like a soldier emerging from the aftermath of a war, rugged and wounded and expecting paradise from the other side of the nightmare, but found itself instead caught in the wrath of the heavens. Gales lashed at it and tore feathers from its wings, the rain wore it down, the thunder rattled its innards and shook all its hopes and dreams from their seams. And the only refuge from this rage was the heart-shaped space in the palm of your hands.
