Café Nostalgia
Zey fish around in zeir pockets like any normal person doe, pulling out the exact amount, having kind of expected it just from other coffee shops pricing about the same. Zey hand it over easily, Eyes following the persons motions, head tilting. Zey give a polite smile when xey talk of just running the place, giving a soft chuckle. âStill work all the same.â Zey shift as zey wait, the questions of zeir origins making zem blink. âI donât mind at all. My family was born and raised in China, though I moved here on my own.â Zey wonder in their head just how different China is now, as zey havenât been back in close to two centuries, so most everything had to have changed. Zey would go back one day soon.
"Ahh." Xe smiled a bit, placing a hand on xier hip. "My mother-" Xe held out the last 'er' sound for a few seconds, thinking that xier mother would have been really old if xe had continued that sentence. "-er's mother came from Korea and was one of the picture brides. She came back over way before the Korea's split up into the given north and south." Xe moved the hand off xier hip, placing it on the counter for support. Being as old as xe was, it was hard to remember what was okay to say in front of people and what wasn't. And xier entire past was not okay to even speak about, even to S.I.F.E. members.
