Hello and Welcome to my blog!
This is "The Strawberry Playroom"; a place where I will share with you all the joys of collecting various toys, plush, figures, and other fun things I find! Some basic information going forward:
🍓 This blog is for the enjoyment and archival of various different toys/collectibles for both children and adults alike. I am an adult collector, and have been collecting since I was a child. That being said, not all things I collect are marketed for or meant for children, and will be tagged accordingly. (Hence the distinction between "toys" and "collectibles.")
🍓 The Playroom is meant to be a fun place to reminisce and appreciate the beauty of toys/collectibles. Please no hateful language, or inappropriate behavior towards others in the comments/asks/etc. I just want to share something I love and love doing with other people on the internet.
🍓 Some items in my collection I already own used as I've had them since I was a kid; these posts will be called "Spotlights" and I most likely do not have the original packaging anymore. I will provide photos for those who want to see it if I can find any. Items may not look exactly like they did when new, and that is okay. I will try to provide photos of what they did look like new for reference purposes, but that may not always be possible.
🍓 If there is something in my collection that is incomplete or missing items, it will be tagged as such. I do try very hard to have items in my collection be complete, but some items ARE secondhand and have been loved accordingly by a previous owner.
🍓 I am an "out of box" collector, for the most part. I do indeed play with and have fun displaying my things for both my own joy and others! There are exceptions; like my figures, or some older toys I have bought later in life.
🍓 If I am missing any information like packaging photos, historical information, company information, or you have some of your own photos you want to share, please do! I love talking to people about this joy in my life, and I want to hear what toys make YOU happy too!
🍓 There is no schedule as to when I post things, sadly. This is just for fun and I have a full-time job. Plus, I only collect within my means to do so. Items in my collection come and go as I change as a person, but their memories and the joy they brought me are immortalized here for you and for me <3
