The mission had come to an end earlier- much earlier than both you and Reaper had expected. Guess catching them off guard just a few days earlier actually worked out well. You sat on the ground on the meeting point wrapped in thick layers of clothing.“We only have to make it to sunrise… which is 7 hours away.” You said with a sigh. Reaper groaned as he paced around the point. His patience tended to be a bit thin. You huffed and smile seeing the cloud puff of your breath. “I’d say we did pretty well” You chimed trying to strike a conversation. You jiggled your knees awaiting a response.“Mhm…” Reaper paused and looked up at the sky. It was clear night with stars delicately the sky and the moon gently lit up the point. It could almost be considered… romantic in a way. The moment was almost too good. Perhaps now he should-

The sound of a candy wrapper paused his peaceful thoughts. He slowly turned his head around to see you leaning back on one arm looking up at the sky all while eating a chocolate bar.“You’ve had that on you the whole mission?” Reaper walked over to you in disbelief. You grabbed another bar out of your utility belt.“Want one?” You offered. Reaper looked between you and the chocolate. He grumbled snatching the chocolate from your hand and squatted beside you. Reaper lifted his mask ever so slightly so he could snack on the bar. “What a date.” You joked and leaned against Reaper’s arm. “We sure did go all out for it.” You smiled as Reaper’s silence was the first sign you were breaking the ice.“This is going to be a long 7 hours.” You laughed.“Wouldn’t be the first time.” The person over the comms groaned and you heard a beep signally that they muted the both of you.

Within a few seconds Reaper burst out in his signature cackle.“So 7 hours huh?” Reaper suggested.“Yep, and we just ate the only food I brought.” You searched you utility belt only to find ammunition and medical supplies. “Dang, forgot my deck.” You groaned. “This is going to be a long 7 hours.”

This was it. This was the end. Surrounded with decay hungry eyes like a predator about to catch it’s prey. Her pistol was too far away for her to grab and at least damage the soldiers in front of her.

They were saying something. But the world around her was dark, musty and dusty with the only sound was a constant high pierce ring. Her arms shook violently holding her staff to her as the last string of hope. She prayed something would save her, anyone or anything. She prayed for a miracle to happen. She can’t leave the world now, there’s so much she hasn’t done or said.

All of a sudden the tune of a lullaby that her mother used to sing to her was whistled very slowly, it made the song seem ominous. But the field medic knew this meant that she was safe. She would live to see another day.

As the soldiers turned to the creator of tune, Angela was able to see you gliding across the battle field with you cybernetics gleaming in the sunlight. A weary smile made it’s way on her face and her tense muscles relaxed. Happy tears drenched her face. She couldn’t be more happy to see her girlfriend.

The soldiers charged at you but with one fluid move that was really many the group were down on the ground writhing in pain. You weren’t one for killing unless they drew blood.

“Are you alright Angela?” You asked softly in which she responded with jumping up into your arms sobbing. You smiled softly. “The mission is over, we can go home now.” Angela silently nodded letting go of the hug but intertwined her fingers with yours. “After check-up could you teach me how to make some Cholera?”“Of course.”

Accidental hiatus??

So I've realise I've kind of taken a hiatus for writing overwatch fics.

Looking back at it now I realise I was just getting out of the groove for writing for overwatch.

I'll see if I get back into it once my PC is fixed. Idk, I'm writing other stuff which you can check out at @imagines-of-the-unknown

MERCY

After many months of sleepless nights and mission after mission you were able to ask Angela out on a proper date. You haven’t seen each other since lunch as you worried about getting ready for the night. You decided to wear a nice rockabilly style dress that seemed to flower out when you spin, the glint of reflection that your arm gave off quickly put your excitement to a halt. You quickly grabbed a jacket the had long sleeves and deep pockets in order to hide as much of your prosthetic arm as possible.

You rushed to the medic wing knowing Angela would be hiding there doing her last little bit of work before your date.“Angela are you ready?” You asked hurriedly while catching your breathe.“I was starting to wonder if you were going to run any later.” Angela giggled from behind you.“Are you ready my queen?” You stuck out your arm which she linked.

The venture to the little restaurant was a lovely walk talking about whatever came into mind. The night was crisp but Angela had forgotten her jacket so you lent her yours forgetting about your arm. It was forgotten until you sat down at your table and people started to stare, seemingly at your arm. You did your best to hide it away from the people.

There was a tug at your arm and heart strings as Angela intertwined her fingers with your prosthetic smiling at you in comfort.“Should we have a mousse or the fondue for dessert?” You knew she was trying to distract you from the stares, it worked.“We could get both if you would like.”

HANZO

- He would be speaking of times when he felt unwanted by his family.

- He explained how hard he worked yet nothing seemed to please them.

- He told of his story of his trouble with Genji, what went through his mind that night. He realized that his only family was Genji that night. Now he sees you as his family.

“Family is not about blood. Rather...” Hanzo looked for the right words to say about how he felt about you. The problem was that you always left him speechless. “How do I say this... Rather the people you wish to spend the rest of your life with. I hope you’re one of them.”

ZARYA

- At first she would declare that she would fight whoever made you felt this way. But when you told her it was your family she would be less angry and more concerned.

- She would declare that you’re welcome to be apart of her family. She’s been wanting to introduce you to them since day one.

- She would speak of times when she thought she was alone. But she grew stronger when thinking of her family that wasn’t just blood, it’s the bonds you make with people. It was her comrades, family was you.

“No matter where you are, you are never alone or hated.” She had a fond smile on her face as she stared into space but the smile became loving when she looked back at you. “Overwatch will always be your family even if we aren’t bonded by blood. I will always be your family no matter what.”

They take her back because she’s the only one alive and they find out she has huge armored wings and glowing eyes because of experiments. Turns out they were a long lost OW agent but their memory was wiped out. Until they help reader find her identity they give them a cute nickname(They develop feelings for reader).

ZENYATTA

When Zenyatta was first told about the mission where there were people kidnapped by the Deadlock gang he felt sorry for the victims, he thought that McCree would’ve had something to do with it. But they were in very different locations.

The abandoned location made him feel unsettled. There was graffiti everywhere, spiders, rodents and others claimed that there was a foul stench hanging in the air. It wasn’t just a dusty smell with rotten food, but one where there was death.

As he continued making his way to the facility his teammates claimed that the smell was getting stronger and did their best to mask their faces. Zenyatta hoped that there was at least someone to help but it didn’t look like it was going to be that way.

They finally found the room where their targets should be and everyone’s hope had dispersed as they saw broken cryopods with blood all over them and some had corpses just lying on the ground. Some left the room needing to throw up at the sight, but Zenyatta continued to search through the room. He still had hope.

One pod was still activated in a hidden room, he called for his teammates that were able to come in. He went to unlock the pod but hesitated. ‘Would they also be dead?’ ‘Would they even wake up?’ Zenyatta got rid of these thoughts and unlocked the pod. There was a hiss followed by a cloud of mist melting upon contact with him.

There stood a woman who seemed to be at peace, but their eyebrows were furrowed. He stared at her to see if she would move. One of the first things he noticed after her beautiful face was these metallic wings tucked behind her. They were similar to the wings that Angela wears with her uniform. But these ones where larger and more rough looking. His mind wondered to the process of these being attached to her, he felt something twinge inside him. Perhaps sympathy for the pain and suffering they went through?

His thought were stopped when he saw her fingers twitch and her eyes squeeze. They were alive! He instantly went to unlock the restraints to see if she would continue moving. A groan emitted from her lips as she fell forward into Zenyatta’s arms.

Weeks passed before she woke up but Zenyatta was by her side as much as possible. She had lost her memory, as robotic as her eyes seemed, they held loss. He got her to meditate with Genji and him to help her find peace after being sleeping for so long and the experiments done.

As time went on he saw how your smile slowly developed into a full blown grin. It was beautiful. One day he accidentally called you Angel, when he saw how flustered she got he had to keep saying it. Soon others started to say it but Genji was quick to tell everyone not to as it was something special between his Master and her.

Jesse and you have been seeing each other for a few months and the both of you have come to a decision that it’s time your parents meet him. Although you didn’t want to just introduce McCree to your parents, you wanted to tell them something important. Something you’ve been wanting to tell them for years.

The both of you waited at the door shaking in your boots.“I’ll be by your side no matter what.” Jesse reassured by squeezing your hand to help ground you. He then placed a quick kiss on your lips with his dopey grin. “I love you.” There was an intruding cough in front of the both of you.“Good even Mr.(L/N).” McCree introduced himself hoping the smoothness of his southern drawl will charm them like it did you.

The dinner seemed to go smoothly at first in Jesse’s standards, until he saw how much you were quivering. Apparently he wasn’t the other one to notice.“Is everything alright dear?” Your mother asked concerned putting her cutlery down to give you her attention. Everything seemed to black out the moment you opened your mouth. You could remember yelling from both of your parents as well as Jesse defending you. Jesse had to drag you out of the house in his fury of your parents reaction.

Jesse stopped the car in front of a service station leaving the key in the ignition so the radio can play softly in the background.“I’m going to buy some ice cream. I’ll be back in 3 minutes.” His southern drawl was soft and littered with concern and anger. Fortunately soft and light-hearted songs played while you waited. Helping you lull you into sleep. By the time Jesse had returned to the car you were fast asleep. His smile softened at how peaceful you seemed compared to how stressed out you were. He took off his serape to wrap around you so you don’t get cold on the drive.

He’ll take you out star-gazing another night.

The recent mission was long, hard and very tiring- much like the night upon his return. All he really wanted to do was sleep and cuddle afterwards, relaxing is a priority when you’re around. He chucked the blaring alarm clock to the other side of the room breaking it.“Was that necessary?” You voice was still laced with sleep. You shuffled snuggling into the pillow, one eye open lazily gazing at him.“Yes.” Jacks voice was husky with a hint of annoyance from the sudden alarm.

Jack reached over wrapping his arm around your waist and brought you to him, hips connected. He placed a soft kiss in the crook of your neck, the ever growing stubble tickling you.“Jack stop it.” You giggled causing Jack to brush his chin over your neck in order to hear you giggle more. “Can we just go back to sleep?” You tried your best to swat him away but you were just too tired. Jack stopped soon growing tired as well and just wanting to sleep with you.“I guess so.” Is what he said before continuing his tiresome stubble attacks.
