27JUN16 -- Today I applied for my visa to visit Turkey! Wooop woop!
26JUN16 -- Sunday funday included a trip to Guitar Center today. If anyone has an electric guitar they want to loan me, holllller. I think it’s easier for these little baby hands to play...who knows, I might even master the barre chords!
25JUN16 -- When I left Arkansas the first time to move to California I was afraid that it wouldn’t work out and I’d be right back so I packed up a bunch of stuff to store in the barn at my parents house. My dad reminded me that I had a bunch of boxes so today I went over to clear them out. Ten years ago, I think I was on the route to becoming a hoarder. My what sentimental treasures crap I found. Amongst the signed posters, set lists, and other concert memorabilia I found an acceptance letter to Syracuse and the book of Beatles songs, which I thought I’d lost or given away. That last one was a win! Everything else went in the trash. Hoarder no more.
24JUN16 -- Stopped by the liquor store today to pick up some supplies for cocktail Friday when I saw this old friend at the register. Never.again.
23JUN16 -- Introduced Miles to the face filters on Snapchat. His response? “Oh my gosh. Look at my face. I did not make that face. That’s awful.”
I love that kid.
22JUN16 -- Not going to lie, this is the only reason I agreed to come. I’d been wanting to check out The Amazeum since it opened last year and it did not disappoint. Although trying to keep up with four kids in this place was a little stressful -- soooo many places for them to hide and soooo many kids look the same. :) Anyway, this is a solid method of birth control. I have no idea how my friend has gone so many places with her kids and has never lost one of them! Miraculous.
21JUN16 -- Agreed to chaperone these hooligans on a little excursion to Northwest Arkansas. First stop -- the drive-thru safari in Gentry, AR where we met this Emu. Curious little fella.
20JUN16 – Strawberry/Full Moon tonight. Is it me or does it seem the past few years the names for these full moons have increased? Blood moon, strawberry moon — why is this a thing now?
19JUN16 -- Happy Father’s Day to this stud.
18JUN16 -- Our group started writing a song tonight. Just waiting on Efren G and the Earthtones to put these beautiful words to music.
17JUN16 -- None of us really wanted to spend Cocktail Friday at The Fold, but we agreed when Stephaney suggested it earlier in the week. Now here we are...without Stephaney. She’s running about an hour or so behind and we are left hanging out with wannabe hipsters and not so great margarita’s with a lack of AC. Not bitter at all.
16JUN16 -- I should have chosen to be a teacher -- they get paid more than the state employees around here AND they get the summer off.
15JUN16 -- Left work early to swim some laps and come work on this tan. Yes, that is tan to an ol’ Irish gal.
14JUN16 -- The plan was to try and figure out where all we are going on this trip. Thanks in part to the half priced wine, the evening ended with Latifeh scanning the world map on the google app and realizing the world is indeed round.
L: “Wait, what’s on the other side of Russia?”
J: “Alaska”
L: “But the US is to the left of Europe. Oh. Look, it’s like a big circle.”
13JUN16 -- There’s a storm a brewin’.
12JUN16 -- Sunday Funday started with some sun and pool time and ended with a truck losing control, taking out a rock wall and street sign and nearly plowing into us as we were pulling out from this lot. Luckily, the kids that were not buckled in inside the truck were ok and so were we. Whew.
11JUN16 -- Ventured out to Cabot to see Calyx and Calli perform at their dance recital. At least I think they are in that group. Everyone looks the same from this distance.
