Wildwood Preserve Metropark is a real park in Toledo!

"Metroparks Toledo purchased the property in 1975 following a citizen-led effort to preserve the grounds of Stranleigh Estate. On May 23, 2026, Oscar Nunez visited the Toledo Mud Hens for "The Paper" night!

The Toledo Mud Hens "The Paper" night - May 23, 2026

Waited over an hour but I got to meet Oscar! They handed out the coozies to everyone waiting in line and I got mine autographed. He said season 2 is in editing and "we need a third!"

I had dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse which was the inspiration for the Macaroni Barn, and walked down to Owens Corning which Ned baited SoWesley with.

They kicked it off with The Paper's opening credits and theme song, and Oscar threw the first pitch.

Muddy wore a suit to work and he was reading the Truth Teller! The front had a cast promo photo and the back said "These reporters are extra extra." He also brought his laptop to do some proofreading (the Underwood standard portable was not portable enough)

The Mud Hens lost in extra innings but they still had post game fireworks. They played The Paper's theme song!
