Premise for this Tremors reboot movies:

1) Takes place in 1935.

2) Perfection, Nevada is a small, bustling town that hasn’t yet turned into the deserted ghost town like in the first movie.

3) Tone is still silly monster flick, this is not meant to be a total reinvention. I guess if I had to change the feel of the movie in some way, it’s less redneck comedy? Just based on how I’m gonna structure the cast.

4) The roles of each character:

* The lovable duo who are both the protagonists: The Irish immigrant who is crazy for gold and money (played by Jack O'Connell) and The town sheriff who is out of his depth (played by Joseph Quinn)

* Love interest of (protagonist 1): TBD

* Love interest of (protagonist 2): TBD

* The one with all the guns aka our Burt Gummer: TBD

* The comic relief person: TBD

* The single parent (both them and their child survive): TBD

* The town asshole who gets eaten: TBD

* The couple who both get eaten at the same time: TBD and TBD

* The one who was minding their own business and gets eaten: TBD

* Not actually part of the main storyline, they’re a cameo role at the start meant to make audiences laugh: TBD

We take today to commemorate national hero Burt Gummer and his commitment to the defense of humanity and nature to the ancient dangerous species of the Graboids. May his legendary memory live on forever.

I have just recently purchased the full DVD collection while on sale and am very much looking forward to watching a film in observance of this holiday later tonight.
