Till It Happens To YOU!
Here’s one ugly truth about society...we love to judge.
Maybe social media is to blame, but for some reason people feel the need to shame someone else without taking the time to consider what really happened. My favourite comments are the “what I would have done in that situation” arguments. And many people feel justified when saying this. But really it’s all just talk. How the hell could you know? You don’t know how the shock will affect you and I hope to god that you are never put into a situation where you have to put your “superpowers” put to the test. Like Lady Gaga put it: Till you’re standing in my shoes, I don’t wanna hear nothing from you! Cause you don’t know.
You don’t even know the full scenario of what actually happened. You know as much as the media has told you and since they have absolutely nothing to go off of, they’ve spun it into some giant tale of mystery. Because that is what the news does. I didn't want to believe it until I witnessed it first hand. But I have witnessed reporters give biased news stories while spinning whatever footage they find into some dramatic tale.
If it seriously makes you feel better to slander someone’s reputation based off of a vague news article on Facebook then I hope you never have to be on the flip side of that article. Because while you type away those insults on your keyboard, someone else is living the worst hell imaginable. Someone out there has just lost their child and their home, so think about that.
Maybe if society banded together instead of turning on one another, the world would be a little less scary to live in. This mommy shaming needs to end! All this shaming needs to end!
