I'm really sorry for the inactivity, I kind of lost what I had for Mirage. But I will move my ass and get the replies I have tonight *fingers crossed* I'm really really sorry OTL
"I’m looking to start over," he said, choosing his words carefully. "I hail from Banivia and would rather leave my life there behind me. I have long heard that this is a land of opportunities. Perhaps even I can find something there." Echo heard a twig snap and immediately turned in the direction of the sound. When he looked, he caught the tail end of a deer skittering off into the woods. He sighed, relieved, but only a little.
"You say former resident. Why would you leave the city?" he wondered.
"I’m afraid to admit that my rations for the trip are all but spent. I would not impress upon you, but if you’re offering, I would be a fool to turn down the help. …Still, if we are to eat, I would rather put some distance between here and us first. I fear I’ve just had a nasty encounter with a brigand not long ago, and I would not be able to live with the guilt of bringing harm to you."
Mirage looked at the deer that took the red haired man’s attention and replied. “It is true that this is a land of oppurtunities for the ones who don’t want to be found.” She nodded. “Once you’re in the city you’re lost. It needs a lot of effort to be found if you don’t spark.”
"To travel." Her eyes were glowing as she looked at Echo’s. "To see what can be seen, to step on every possible land of Disparatus." She sighed. "Svaneholm is a city that lives, vividly and has a lot to give for a person who knows how to take. I have left in the belief that I took enough. The rest is on me to develop and I choose to develop on road."
The woman looked back at the trees, trying to see something hidden. “It’s still not common, this close to the city. I guess I have nothing but to trust your opinions on this. We can get on road when you are rested enough.”
"Good, then it sounds like precisely what I need." Echo didn’t particularly think of himself as someone one who took, at least, not anymore. He had done enough taking to last him a lifetime, and now karma had come to reclaim what had been taken.
"It’s not safe to rest here," he asserted, and to show that it wasn’t a subject he felt up for debate, he started walking with a slight limp along the riverside. "We must get out of sight before we rest. There are hunters who have made these woods their playground this eve and I am not eager to become their prey."
With him standing up before her, Mirage stood up as well, following his lead; she was curious about this hunters and evil he was talking about. She wouldn't offer any help for finding the way, instead she just walked right behind him as she casually gazed the shadows among the moonlit trees for any sign of life. "Tell me of your lands in Banivia, if you'd indeed like to. I have visited Farithe once but it was only for a brief break on a long journey. I sure want to hear what more could Banivia hide behind the eased country life." A fish jumping out of the water caught her sight and a wild cat appearing behind the woods looked strangely at the two wanderers; which made her remember that they were simply in plain sight here and if any hunters were around, she was pretty sure they had hd found the two already. But she kept these thoughts to herself for if they were indeed surrounded by threats unknown to her, they were staying hidden for a reason and if this red haired man was lucky the reason would be Mirage and not something worse they were waiting for.
I'll be back home tomorrow thank god. Then I'll do the replies I owe to enigmatic--carmine and fracturedfuture. May the force be with us-

Mirage doesn't like to fight so she has Exceptions -Like "White Waters"- that are based on corrupting the opponents abilities and creating time for her to dissappear. But when fighting her Speed level is really high and fights with her daggers as if she is dancing.
((*casually leaves first sight meme here*)) "Huh, that's someone you can't always meet. A beauty too--I wonder what her origins are. Angelic, maybe? Possible. I don't expect such spark from a demonic blood."

Athena couldn’t help but notice the person staring at her. Angelic, hah! I think not. "Excuse me, just who do you think you are?"
Mirage tilted her head to the side as glancing the other's eyes. "I'm called Mirage, and it's good to meet you, Miss."

//I'm definitely not a great artist but now I want to draw Mirage fighting with her daggers.
"You’re saying this was an accident?" ((Hey~ *whispers* I replied *runs away*))
“… Yes," Lucian responded, with more force behind his voice. "Just an accident. No harm meant."
— whispers thank you, sweetie!! ;v; i’ll draft it! < 33 ]]
"Well, now it's broken and I do wonder how you'll replace a fair piece from my homeland, Lucian." The woman pouted with disappointment.
Echo relaxed his muscles as soon as the woman turned to face him and he saw that she was no Virad. Self-preservation had been at the forefront of his mind and showed him danger whenever he a cloak or a hint of white.
"My apologies," he said, and he lowered his bow. "I was…
"The wilds lack the security of crowds," Echo replied. "What happens out here won’t be seen by anyone for some time, if ever. Certainly not until after the culprit has escaped." So it always was up in his homeland, its population sparse and ill-connected. One had to be a fool to travel off the beaten path alone.
Echo was a fool.
He slung his bow over his shoulder and knelt down by the riverside, lifting his shirt so that he could cleanse the wound with cool water. He winced in pain but focused on conversation to distract himself.
"No, I imagine not. And it would be a damn shame to see a face so fair marred by injury. My way is west, to Svaneholm. I was expecting to arrive there yesterday, but I was not blessed with an acute sense of direction. Could I trouble you for a finger in the right direction?"
"That might be right, but if anyone thinks they’re not strong enought to pass by unharmed then they wouldn’t attempt to leave the main roads, I’d imagine." Mirage watched the man as he spoke and wondered if she could work anything for the man, then realising it would definitely be the wrong decision, it would be wrong for here and now anyway. Maybe after they would seperate their roads.
She smiled with the compliment. “You came too south.” She replied, without hesitating. You need to follow the river until you get to the part where the flow gets powerful, and you might find a bridge there.” There, she paused. “You will have half a day more until you reach Svaneholm.”
She took a ribbon out of her pocket and started braiding her hair for the night. “Since you’re wounded, I offer you my companionship until you reach the bridge. And since we will be spending some more time here, you might as well give me your name.” She tied the ribbon around the braid and added. “I’m Mirage.”
"Strong enough or fool enough," Echo agreed. "That goes for you, too, Ms. Mirage. Which are you, strong, or a fool?"
A half day longer in these woods. Echo winced at the thought of carrying on alone for that long with his injury. He was skeptical about his ability to make the journey without being found.
Mirage. An obvious pseudonym. It certainly wouldn’t surprise him to learn it was a Virad monicker, but if she were really an undercover Virad, would she blow her cover to him so easily? He didn’t know what to make of her. On one hand, her help might be just what he needed to make it to freedom unscathed. On the other hand, it might be a trap to lead him to an early grave.
He contemplated the offer. Certain death versus probable death… Well, it was hardly a choice when put like that.
He had a weakness for cute smiles.
"Companionship sounds splendid. I’m Echo, and it’s a sincere pleasure to make your acquaintance."
"I'm fast enough." The woman replied with the slight amusement in her eyes. She was enjoying the man's presence. She didn't think the two would see each other again, so didn't mind revealing the tip of the iceberg to him -- she was still fast enough, him knowing wouldn't make much difference.
Adding whatever threat he came away from could still be behind him did make a difference though. She had enough confidence in her pace when she needs to avoid fight, but with the open wound in her sight it might not be the easiest fight if she would get in one. She was still behind the decision of being on his side until the bridge; being concerned about danger and leaving a weaker man to the claws of it were two different topics.
She tilted her head to her side, looking away at the water beside them. She weighed the possibilities as a cloud dimmed the moonlight; maybe she should have used a bit of magic on the wound, just enough to keep him powerful. But what if that powerful then threatened her? He was right, wilds weren't the safest place.
But no, she postponed this decision to morning.
Mirage nodded, taking a deep breath. "As a former resident of Svaneholm, may I ask what is your aim in going there, Echo? Ah, and, do you have enough food with you, since this didn't go according to your plans? I have some extra and I need to eat now." She reached for her backpack.

"What’s the best way to stay warm when you’re cold? Action, of course. But what sort of action is the bet action?" Ethan knew the answer, but he doubted that others would know the same thought process.
Mirage gazed at the thin figure before her and smiled. "I'd say a passionate swordfight - but your figure tells me you're not used to them. Then what?"
Echo relaxed his muscles as soon as the woman turned to face him and he saw that she was no Virad. Self-preservation had been at the forefront of his mind and showed him danger whenever he a cloak or a hint of white.

— What’s that, you say? Lasi’s doing a follow forever? Well heck yes she is. When I first got this blog up and running, thanks to support from a couple of wonderful friends of mine, I never honestly thought I’d get anywhere with it. Lucian has always had a special place in my heart as an OC, because when I created him, the first person to know about him was my beautiful best friend, Rabbit, who was nothing but supportive, creative, and welcoming to the idea in general. With her help, the Sin Verse got far more developed, delving into the ideas of Keepers, Lesser Sins, Cardinal Sins, and demons - even the Neutrals were an idea by her mind. I don’t think I could ever remove Lucian from my OC roster, and thanks to all of you wonderful people, I feel more and more like my ideas aren’t as stupid as I was once convinced to believe. You’re all wonderful people.
This list consists of people who I: role-play with, talk with, or simply enjoy seeing on my dash. Perhaps a wonderful conglomeration of all three, eh? For the most part, it’s the first two, though. Thank you again, all 143 of you! < 3 I love you all. [also, as a sidenote: if someone has multiple blogs, I have only included one of their blogs on this list.]

Lucian watched the woman enter the restaurant and seat herself by the window out of the corner of his eye as he placed an order before another customer. His optics registered olive-hued flesh, a long face with defined cheekbones, and a dusting of freckles. The woman was tall, but not much taller than himself, he would imagine. He straightened up and made his way over to her table, snatching up a menu and rolled serviette on the way; once he’d reached the stranger, he laid both items on the table, and inclined his head in her direction respectfully.
“Hello, ma’am. Welcome to Exotic Cuisine," he spoke automatically, "Due to the time, you may order from the lunch menu, which is in the front." Lucian motioned to the menu he’d placed down only moments beforehand. "Please, take your time in deciding what you would like to eat. For the time being, may I get you a beverage? If you are unsure of what we offer, there is a list in the back of the menu.”
The woman didn't really look at the waiter as he headed towards her and placed the menu in front of her. It was when she heard the smooth voice, that her mind took a hold of a strange thing before she could actually figure out. Curiosity cleared the hunger in her mind as she tilted her head to her side, she looked up to examine the pale man.
She openly gazed at him up and down, then stated. "There's something about you." That was also probably why her Awakening didn't work properly. There was something weird about this man and she made her mind, she had to learn. "I want to place and order." She said, giving the menu back to him. She looked up again, her green eyes full of amusement. "You. I want to learn what you are."

Mirage ran her fingers through her hair and took another sip from her drink. She was seated on a darker corner of the pub, watching people of the town go on with their conversations and she would chuckle every now and then with the words that came to her ear - town's gossips, local news, casual flirting.
She wasn't particularly interested in anyone's business, but she did want to have a drink or two before she went back to the inn she would spend the night. As she took another sip, a dark haired man caught her attention with a suit and white gloves. She gazed him as she finished her drink. There was something different about this man.
