Before Sterling was born, and for a while before he entered school, Beryl was certain he could get back his status as heir if he could just work hard enough. He pit himself against everyone, and this person in particular.
Beryl retreated in on himself for much of his school years. He was a shy kid in Gryffindor, unsure why the Hat put him there, and often surrounded by foreign books. He was an easy target.
Beryl wasn’t much on dating though he did have a few passing boyfriends before Peter. He always broke things off before they got too honest or real.
Some poor girl did have to date this gay disaster while he was still figuring himself out. Depending on how things went down, they could still be friends. Or enemies. They could never talk now. It’s all up for discussion.
The Crabbe’s are Sacred 28, and Beryl and Sterling’s parents like to play political chess with their children. Beryl has 5 other siblings, so there is a myriad of connections to different aspects of society that could be made.
