At the Lord’s command Moses recorded the stages in their journey. Numbers 33:2

When was the last time you paused to reflect on all that the Lord has done for you?

Moses records the Israelites' journey to Canaan step by step, detailing what they saw, where they camped, and what they experienced. This allowed future generations to see God’s faithfulness in the past and gave them hope for the future. This was a way of passing down the faith to their children and their children’s children. Just like God had a lot to teach Moses and Israel in the desert, He has so much He wants to teach us during each stage of life. The important thing is that we take the time to reflect and remember. Because remembering how He has led us, and how He has been with us is one of the best ways to trust Him with our future.

Ephesians 1

The enemy of our soul is Satan and his aim is to infiltrate our thoughts with his thoughts and to promote his lie in the face of God's truth. If Satan can control your thoughts, he can control your behavior. He can introduce his thoughts, tempting you to act independently of God. He can even convince us that they are God’s thoughts.

We sincerely want to do what God wants us to do. But we passively pay attention to deceiving voices instead of “taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5). In so doing, we open ourselves up to Satan's lies, resulting in anxiety, deception and hopelessness.

We must assume our responsibility for choosing the truth. How do we do that? By reading and studying God's word. Regardless of where a thought originates, examine it in the light of God's Word and choose the Truth. Only if we know the Truth, we can easily detect the lie of the devil.

Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me."

Being crucified with Christ means that we're dead to sin, our old man has died. Sin no longer has dominion over us. Just as Christ defeated the power of sin, we too no longer allow sin to rule over us.

Galatians 5:24 says, those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. We are to live by the Spirit, and walk by the Spirit.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus I pray that you'll help me understand what it truly means to be crucified with You and to live for You alone. You took my sin on the cross, Jesus, and willingly bore the punishment and guilt that my sins deserved, and I know that I could never repay You. So, today I offer up my life to You. In Your name I ask, Amen

The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

This is a promise of victory. Your enemy will be confounded, and utterly destroyed. God will bring it to pass. Do not fear.

PRAYER: Lord, You know what I am facing today. I hand the whole situation over to You. Thank You for fighting my battle. Thank You that You have shielded me with Your precious blood so the enemy cannot touch me. As I endeavor to do what pleases You, I pray that You will cause me to live in victory. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

Jesus said, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand” (Matthew 4:17). Jesus called people to repent before He called them to believe! To repent is to grieve over one’s sin, to grieve over wounding Christ by their sin, and then turning away from their wicked ways. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 7:10, “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret.” Let us not be casual about sin. Would you pray with me that God would give us truly repentant hearts?

Prayer: Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus, give me a truly repentant heart. Remove all callousness that tolerates sin in me and let me never grieve You by sinning against You. Strengthen me Lord to this end. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

1 Samuel 4:3 'Let us bring back the ark of the covenant of the LORD!'

The Ark of the Covenant represented the presence of God to the nation of Israel. They knew that without His presence in their lives they were lost. They did everything in their power to make sure His presence was with them.They carried the ark wherever they went. You and I cannot do without the Lord and His presence in our daily lives. Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, His presence dwells within us. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I recognise that I need You and Your presence in my life. I invite you to be the Lord and Saviour of my life. Amen.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:9 “Trouble on every side” — perhaps that’s your story. Life can be totally overwhelming at times. The fact is, it is possible to be in God’s perfect will and still be troubled and perplexed. You may be thinking, “This cannot be of God.” But the Bible says, “Yes, all these many troubles and trials have worn down my outward body. But something wonderful is happening in my soul.” “Though our outward man perish, our inward man is renewed day by day” (2 Corinthians 4:16). All these things are working together for good in me, and I am growing in my knowledge of the Lord and His ways.”

In all these things, we will be overcomers through Christ our Lord. Be strong.
