Jesus said to Peter, âPut out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.â Simon Peter answered, âMaster, weâve worked hard all night and havenât caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.â WHEN THEY HAD DONE SO, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. Luke 5: 4-6
I am sure that no matter what you are going through or what you have already been through, the best is yet to come! All you need to do is hold on because help is on the way! Jesus will help you!
The disciples invited Jesus into their boat, then they followed His instruction, even though, it didn't make any sense. The result was the boat was full of fish that they were almost sinking. Thatâs something we have got to learn to do when it comes to following Jesus-- to do as we are told.
Let me tell you right now, there is so much more that God has in store for you if you only you would follow Him!
1 Thessalonians 5
âYou will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.â â Acts 1:8
Is this promise only for the early Christians? What do the scriptures say? "The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off" (Acts 2:39). Jesus said, "If you being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" (Luke 11:13).
Acts 2:17 In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people; your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
This promise is yours for the asking. Ask and you will receive so that your joy may be full.
Prayer
Lord , fill us and our family with Your Holy Spirit and with Your power so that we can live fruitful lives and glorify Your name and be bold to proclaim Your good news everywhere. In Jesus' Name we ask, Amen
"Honour your father and mother, that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land." Ephesians 6:2-3
This promise is mentioned in Exodus 20:12 as well.
Parents are not perfect. They may have done several things to annoy you or hurt you. But they have done umpteen things that we need to be grateful for.
One of the main ways you can honour them is by showing them respect and treating them well.
Make sure your parents always know how much you love and respect them. God will honour you if you will honour your parents.
âLet your father and mother be glad, let her who bore you rejoice.ââ Proverbs 23:25
Let's live in a way that causes them to rejoice.
Ask God for forgiveness for the times you have not treated your parents with honour. Seek to honour them today in the way you speak to them and the way you treat them.
1 Thessalonians 4
The Bible is the best gift God has given to man. It is God communicating His heart to us. It is like a manual for living. The word of God lights our path, directs us towards the future, gives us strength for the journey, keeps us from sin and leads us to everlasting life. If not for the word of God how would we know the Saviour- that He is the way, the truth and the life? Read your Bible everyday there is no issue that is not addressed in this book, it is timeless and imparts wisdom and knowledge like no other. Jesus answered, âIt is written: âMan shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.â Matthew 4:4
Psalm 19:1
âŠChrist Jesus who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Romans 8:34
This verse gives me great comfort. Sometimes when the needs are so pressing and the way seems so foggy, I am lost for words. I donât know what to pray. But before I could ever kneel down to pour out my heart to God, my Saviour has already called out to His Father on my behalf.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, I am humbled and grateful that, after all You have already done for me, You're still interceding for me at God's right hand. This gives me great confidence, comfort, and hope. Thank You Lord, You know my every need and thought, even before I ask. Amen.
Colossians 3

Scholars say that the thorns from which Jesusâ crown was composed were long and terribly sharp. No doubt they dug deep into the head of the suffering King. We canât really imagine the physical pain, not to mention the anguish endured by the King of kings.
Being found in human form, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of deathâ even death on a cross. Therefore God also highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name. Philippians 2:8-9
Because Jesus humbled Himself, because He endured the humiliation of the cross, including the crown of thorns, God exalted Him to the highest place. For Jesus, the path to glory as King of kings included the path of disgrace. Because He wore the crown of thorns, Jesus received the crown of glory.
