Don’t let someone manipulate you into feeling bad that they put you in a position to leave them. Especially when you stayed so long and allowed them to treat you bad. Don’t let them convince you that what you had to do for yourself was being selfish and unsupportive of them. They did not want or need you, they just didn’t want to be lonely while they made themselves miserable. Don’t let them convince you that you weren’t there for them when they needed you the most when they took the most out of you for being there. Sometimes your support of being there enables them and they wont change because they don’t believe you will leave them. They don’t need you, they need themselves. They were making the choice to continue their bad habits and behavior while you were making the choice to stay and put up with it. You can’t help someone who doesn’t want help.

Pet peeve: explaining something to someone who keeps interrupting you to ask a question that you are already answering but can’t because they keep interrupting you. Shut up, listen, let me explain.

Well that’s hypocritical. Not surprised.

Do you really need the person who hurt you, to tell you, “I hurt you and I’m sorry, and I feel awful that I did it”. It’s beautiful to get it but do you need it? Do you not know how painful the pain was when you experienced it? Do you need them to tell you how painful it was and give you permission to feel it? You don’t need it. The one who broke you cannot heal you. You have to heal you. You can’t expect the person who broke you into pieces to bring those pieces and say “I’m going to put you back together”. You can’t do that.. you can, but why would you choose to do that? Someone who had the power to destroy you and uses that power, why would you trust them with rebuilding you?
