THE BEST macaron I’ve eaten (only consumed macarons in Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and San Francisco though). It’s an omiyage from one of the labmates who always brings delicious snacks. This is probably from Monsieur J in Toyama city.

One of my favourite restaurants in Tokyo – 薬膳スープカレー•シャナイア. Personally prefer it to Magic Spice in Shimokitazawa. Visited 3 times, tried basic, prawn, tomato based soups. I like the basic soup base the most, but my boyfriend’s favourite is coconut based soup. Lots of vegetables, and the chicken is very tender! I don’t usually like pumpkin, but I would add-on pumpkin with this dish! The rum lassi is very thick (with powerful omh from the rum), and they serve homemade vanilla ice cream added with spice!
