Ending the year with soke character design studies of old #angloboerwar photos on my new #xppen tablet. So far, the tsblrt has impressed. Whilst obviously not having the same tolerances as a Cintiq, it's hard to find fault with it as an entry-level tablet. Real talk for a moment folks. 12 years. Since I started drawing seriously 12 years ago, I wanted a space in in my house that I could reserve just for drawing. Not my desk next to my bed. Not my kitchen table. My own room, just for art. I wanted a good trestle table to draw on and just enough space to work to force me to keep things tidy. For 12 years, that was a financial pipe dream. It was never going to happen. Today, I put in the last screw on my IKEA trestle table set, and tomorrow I look forward to some drawing in my new sketchbook. It is now well and truly time I start making my own stuff. Don't give up on Goals you set for yourself, folks. Been on a martial arts YouTube binge lately, and thought I'd do a character and colour study of those flashy #ufc #mma fights. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer a judogi or hakama with kendo bogu.
