US VOTER RESOURCES
Hello, my friends! Here is a small list of helpful resources I've put together to help you with voting in the United States.
Vote.org - This website is one place where you can check your registration status and it will help you register if you aren’t already! Even if you think you’re already registered to vote, it is always a good idea to check. Other resources are also available on the site to help you locate your polling place, remind you of upcoming elections, vote by mail, and more.
HeadCount.org- HeadCount is a non-partisan organization that is dedicated to helping people register to vote! Their website is a full of information and resources where you can pick your state and they’ll tell you the important dates and deadlines and any requirements for Voter ID.
BallotReady - As we get closer to the election, BallotReady will update and tell you who’s on your ballot. It is a good place to start when researching your candidates so you can make a well informed decision on Election Day. I know it has a box to enter your email but you don't have to enter it to get to your ballot information.
A Guide to Voting as a College Student - If you’re going away for college, this article should answer any major questions you might have about how you can vote. I’d also recommend checking if your college has any voting organizations on campus. They’re a great resource and will help you with any questions or issues you might have!
Overseas Vote Foundation - For my US citizens who live overseas or are traveling abroad, you can still vote! Overseas Vote provides a step-by-step guide for voting while not in the US and if your questions aren't answered in their FAQ, you can send them a question and receive a personal answer from one of their agents.
Nationwide Voter Pre-Registration for Under 18 - My friends who are 17 but will be 18 by Election Day, you can still register to vote and cast your ballot at the polls. You can check your state's age requirements for pre-registration to vote at Rock the Vote. The site listed above, Vote.org, will also send you a text on your 18th birthday to remind you to register.
Early Voting Calendar - Can't make it to the polls on Election Day? Nervous about large crowds & COVID-19? Consider Early Voting! Check to see if your state allows early voting and when it will take place.
Know Your Voting Rights- Be prepared when you show up at the polls. Double check your registration status, bring your ID, and if anyone tries to stop you from voting you should call 1-866-687-8683
Please feel free to add on to this list and share with others! Let me know if I missed anything or got something wrong. Your voice is important, don’t let anyone try to stop you from being heard during any election cycle.
Got any questions? Send me a message and let’s figure it out together!
