This blog is not meant for those who fetishize or discriminate against minorities or others in general, especially Asian folk. This is also a safe space for people in the LGBTQ+ and LIOMOGAI communities, POC, disabled folk, religious minorities, and more.

Asian joy is after many years of your academic life, you finally get an Asian mental health counselor who empathizes with your experiences and the troubles of being raised by traditional parents. Seriously, that woman saved my life but it’s unlikely we’ll meet again. I really hope she’s doing well.

I'm not really sure, if it counts as asian joy, but I'd like to share it:

About the subject of Kazakh rep...in my youtube recommendations, I've had noticed a designs reviews of characters from a game called 'Reverse 1999', I personally had never tried to play this game myself, because I wasn't really big fan of gacha games.

But what really suprised and caught my attention, it's an existence of Kazakh character in it. As kazakh, the absence of Kazakh representation in media has always upset me. Just imagine the shock and astonishment I felt when I discovered that no—I had been wrong, and such characters actually do exist.

By the way, about this character. Her name was a 'Moldir'. And I really liked her design overall; it’s really pleasing to look at, in my opinion! I also like that they also didn't forget to give her a Kazakh name. And I made myself a promise: if I ever felt a burning desire to play a 'Reverse: 1999' one day, then it will be because of this character.

I’d say that this counts as Asian Joy!
