During class today we talked about finding our voice by writing about stuff we genuinely care about. To be driven by whats important to you. All the talk about trusting yourself and having the guts to take off and do it got me thinking in my sketchbook. Above you see the result. It’s really deep, y’all.

Rolled a Cigar Smokin’ Barbarian with my daughter yesterday. We agreed to draw him in the spirit of Philip Guston and Mikkel Sommer. Colored him when my daughter was fast asleep. When she woke me up this morning she seemed very satisfied with the end result.
