Julian began to feel that familiar twinge of heartache. First because they were so close. The longest few seconds of life she breathed into him for the first time in months. Second came those words he swore that if he heard ever again it would truly kill him. And lastly her next words. Telling him that she basically wished he never showed up. He shook his head. "No. Emma, it doesn't work like that." He said his words oddly even though he could feel the anxiety and sadness tearing at his chest. "Yeah. If you were brought here for a reason, than so was I. At least here they can't force me to be away from you, and cast their glances...and..." He stopped and looked deeply into her eyes. "I love you, Emma Carstairs an no stupid rune is gonna keep me from you. No shadowhunter, no curse. Nothing. I belong to you. My heart belongs to you. I would rather you break me apart and kill me than force me to live this lie that makes me wish I was already dead." He declared before he pulled her back closer to him, leaning in and kissing her deeply. He knew he shouldn't but he just couldn't resist.
