So! I've decided to just turn this blog into an archive. I'm not nearly as invested in mogai and liom as I used to be. I originally thought about rebranding this into a system blog, but we decided to make a system blog with an entirely different url (@bior-system, if you're curious). All these posts are staying up, and it's not necessarily impossible that I'll come back to this in the future, but for the foreseeable future, I won't be using this blog anymore.

To Newly Discovered Systems

It's really, really common for newly-discovered systems to struggle with certain things.

It's common to have a hard time talking to each other internally. If you can talk to each other, then it's common to struggle to know who's talking.

It's common to have a hard time knowing who's in control, who's talking to you, or who's in your head.

It's common to struggle with spotting or controlling switches.

It's common to struggle to get along with some or all of your system.

It's really common to struggle to believe that your experiences are real (even when you know that you find the framework of plurality helpful for explaining your experiences!).

These things are all skills. You can and will get better at them with time and practice. Struggling is not a permanent state or personal failing. We live in a world that doesn't teach you these skills, and you're trying to learn them anyway. That effort is something to be proud of.

Working with your system (and fighting off denial/doubt) gets easier the longer you've been doing it. You learn what works for you. You won't always feel like it's all overwhelming, messy, fake, or whatever other "I'm not good enough" feelings you might be having now.

The systems you see who seem to have it all together have had more time and practice at working with their systems. Sometimes, they've had life environments that gave them a head start in building these skills, but your life circumstances don't decide whether you can get better at these things. You can still learn these skills without that head start.

You might struggle with other feelings in the future, and there will always be something to work on, but the things that you're struggling with right now will get easier. The systems who seem to have it all together are still learning things too.

Then you're a newly discovered system that happens to have an easier time hearing internal conversations. It happens.

Different people will have different experiences. Someone else having one experience doesn't make your other experience less real. It just makes it different from theirs.

Make some space to trust yourselves. Do what works.

sorry if it's not any good, i'm not very good at making things pretty. i honestly just made this because i couldn't find a plurality code that fit all of the little things i wanted. like everything else on this blog, it's almost entirely self-indulgent

The 1st four stripes represent the severity labels

First Stripe - Profound Intellectual Disability

It's been a hot minute, hasn't it?

I'm still not sure that this blog is going to be active again. In this exact moment I'm thinking about it, but I can't make any promises.

Call me Cloud. I say "me," we're actually a system, but I use I/we interchangeably. I don't have a DNI but I block whoever, whenever. You can find my BYI in the above link. I use they/them pronouns.

I'm still undecided on what direction this blog is gonna take. I'm not as into mogai as I was when I first created this blog (although I'm definitely not deleting my older posts, and I do still want to do something with this blog). But what's most likely is that it'll stay mogai while broadening its scope into more general liom stuff, especially plurality and maybe alterhumanity. I'll probably also shift focus from coining to just general discussion and maybe shitposts.

Another possibility is that this becomes my variety sideblog with no clear purpose or theme besides "my sideblog that isn't my main blog." And of course there's still the possibility that I actually will just disappear again. We'll see.
