Seeing all the gavels at closing ceremonies

Im going into future security council in a month and its about 2040 and the earth is hitting an ice age but the problem is that my school got another shitty position. But last time i won at william and mary in the business crisis with the least significant person so.. This time i have brazil and they have virtually nothing from overpopulation and no money to hold refugees from thenorth and south of the world so what angle should i play at?

The great thing about Brazil is that you don't have overpopulation, and won't be drastically effected by an ice age, but are still one of the largest nations in the world, with many natural resources that other nations, (due to the ice age) will probably be in short supply of. You're the country that still has plentiful food, minerals, timber, etc... Use that to your advantage in committee as leverage, or to negotiate on the side with other countries. That being said, a large part of MUN is how you present yourself, so be confident and establish yourself as a leader in committee early on, that way other delegates will gravitate towards you, and pool their resources with yours. Also remember that the most powerful nations aren't always the most powerful or experienced delegates, and by establishing yourself as a leader, you can take them under your wing and have them join your block.
