So I grew up in a time of

at the end of text messages, and I had one when my father was disowning me over text.

There are all these heartfelt messages abo9ut my ather figure (my grandfather) being gone and how he needs to step up that are signed

at the bottom.

Remembering that time my mother threw my old cat Bobo at my face and he scratched me on the eyeball. I don’t even remember why she threw him at me. She just did?

Idk man. Rip Bobo tho (he was not young when I adopted him and this was well over 10 years ago) and rip my optometrist bc I needed even stronger glasses after the mf tried to take my eye out.

Saw my mom over the weekend. And as an adult, you can tell your mom all the dumb shit you lied about.

For example; when I was 10, I broke the growth plate of my pinky. I told my mother that I had gotten off the side of the bunk bed Bc at 10, the ladder is clearly for SCRUBS, and my pinky got caught between the bed and one of the bars and I pulled it out and broke it.

Now this is partially true. I broke it coming off the bunk bed… but I was jumping off… into a pile of stuffed animals.

After I told my mother this, she looked at me and said “makes sense. But what does that say about you that the lie was so believable I believed it for 12 years.” Which was a good burn.

Went to visit my mom this weekend and my cousin comes over with her >1 year old kid (her next youngest is nearly 12). She was talking to my mother about, ya know, babies and the kids started crying. I reached to my arm to feel for my Nexplanon implant.

Me: “Yup. Still there. Thank god.”

My mom: “What?”

Me: “My birth control. It’s still there.”

My mom kinda froze then started laughing really hard. My birth control is good for another few years. We use condoms too but those fail and the implant is currently the most affective form of birth control, besides abstinence. So this is a reminder for those with the implant to check and make sure you can still feel it and it hasn’t imbedded or migrated and could no longer be working or need surgery.
