“The Walled City”
Intramuros is one of the places I really wanted to go to, since I was a kid I have fascination going to historical places.
One night, I was on my facebook account scrolling on my timeline and a picture caught my attention and it is the “Casa Manila” I did some research about the place and I was amazed on whats the inside of that said museum.
That same night, I really wanted to go there so bad so I call my friends to join with me. I have many rejections until my two friends joined me (buti nalang I have lots of friends haha). So long story short, While we’re on the ride going to that place I can’t hide my excitement. But before we go there we need to attend a mass.
After the mass, we search how to go to that place and luckily my friends’ dad know how to go there. I can’t really hide my excitement that time and my friends are looking at me weird.
So we arrived to the place! Yey! Wohooooooo!!!! I was amazed not only to the place but in the whole Intramuros because they was able to maintain the Spanish era theme on that place from the restaurant to the guards uniformed as guardia civil.
While entering to the mansion/museum I was in total shock on the inside. My research and the structure itself matches really good. We enjoyed on what we saw inside the museum from the the things like an old cloth iron where they use charcoals to operate it, old kitchen utensils, old comfort rooms I was really glad to see that things from the past.
It’s so sad that we need to go and leave that place. *crying face* *sad face*
But we decided not to waste our opportunity so we went to other places in Intramuros like Fort Santiago, Baluarte de San Diego, Dungeon, etc...
I would highly recommend anyone to go in Intramuros because of good place/ambiance and you’ll really learn something about Filipino Culture during Spanish Era.
